Oh and plenty of great games could be beat within less than ten hours...Think NES games - that\'s all I will say.

Are you kidding?  Many of today\'s games can be beaten in under 10 hours if you rush through.  Most of them, save for RPGs, last between 10-20 hours.

mm STILL doesn\'t have an arguement...

not one you could possibly explain and I bet you\'re having a hard time convincing yourself of your own arguement.

I\'m being entirely serious when I say you didn\'t have a leg to stand on in the first place.  You\'ve hardly convinced me, or anyone else here, otherwise.

Nevermind you\'ve dodged explaining your whining, you still haven\'t explained why Fable is a "turd".

Those three people seem to be enjoying it quite a bit, even L-I-C:eek:, and I have yet to see any negative comments.  I have yet to read a bad review or make any sense out of why you are still participating in this thread.

I got Fable, it\'s a very good game.  However, it was hyped up way more than it should have been.

Again, don\'t get me wrong, I love this game, I think it\'s a hit.  It\'s just, they way it was advertised, I expected an entirely new experience.

The way it was hyped or the way it was advertised?  Two different things.

My character is now 46 years old and has an almost transparent halo above his head. I can seriously walk in to any town and marry anyone I want. I don\'t have to woo anyone as soon as I walk into the room 9/10 people have huge hearts over their heads. If I talk to anyone (including the men :( ) they are all saying something about me buying them a wedding ring.

BTW, I can\'t get my character super huge. I want a big hulking warrior but he remains a slim(albeit super strong) guy.

I can\'t wait to finish and play through as a bad-ass. There were SO many times where I wanted to do the evil thing but my conscience kicked in.

Except when that guy made me get a haircut, a beard, and a mustache in order to meet his daughter. If you guys haven\'t seen it yet its no biggie but you may whoop his ass also.

[EDIT] Its probably worth noting that my character wouldn\'t be so old if I didn\'t spend so much time incarcerated. ;)

I didn\'t explore the whole map yet but there is some places where the area is bigger.  Fishing is fun!   I know you don\'t want to spend $50 on a new game, go and rent it and see.   The music is composed like how a movie is made.  If your in a suspense gameplay, So will the music.   A joyful wondering around the place gives also a nice music tune and so on.   Wonderful game!  I give it a 10!

More of the way it was hyped.  This was supposed to be the end-all be all of Action RPG\'s.

What we actually have (from playing it) is a fantastic Action RPG that really doesn\'t bring anything new to the table with the exception that your character "ages".

Truth be told, it\'s probably the best Action-RPG of the year, which is still an accomplishment on it\'s own.  Anyone that thinks this game will be something of a breakthrough in the genre will be gravely mistaken.

Fenced in? You do three quests and there is a ton of area to explore, caves, towns (every house) and so on. At times it is daunting and I am not even 75 percent thru the game. Hardly fenced in/

Honestly, I don\'t get your hatred for this game. Yes, some features was taken out, but it is still a better game than anything else put out this year.

Infact, before you bring up the four years of development, after playing it for over 15 hours, I can tell there was four years of development put into the game. It is that polished.

I think he means more along the lines of this:

So let me get the negative out of the way first.

Everything is blocked off in the game. Everything. See those gorgeous woods next to you that seem to stretch on forever? Well don\'t even think about them. You can look but cannot touch. It ****ing sucks. That is probably the most disappointing aspect of Fable to me, the tiny, restricted environments. And there are load points everywhere! Just as frequent as KOTOR (the environs are even smaller), though the actual load times aren\'t as long. It\'s obvious that those early Project Ego screens were never even fully created as the game is chopped up into narrow paths.

I\'m looking forward to playing the game, however. :) Luckily I was never too hyped, so I shouldn\'t be too disappointed. :)
