Nope, I meant what I said in reference to the quote attached.  Phil had a concern about the length of the game and I still stand by saying that 10 hrs on an adventure game is a solid buy.

I guess I should clarify my stance on this game.  There is no doubt that this game will be enjoyable.  Hell, I\'ll probably end up playing it (and beating it)  on a friend\'s xbox.  It\'s just irritating to hear that this "epic" game that took so long to produce ended up being so short.  Based on what the company led me to believe, I should be able to roam the countryland doing heroic deeds and decide my destiny.  This should include much more freedom of choice then what the reviewers have stated.  I shouldn\'t be confined to this linear 10 hour game that you have to milk to get a solid 30 out of.  That wasn\'t the game that got me excited YEARS ago.  I guess this is what hype will do to you.

After 5 years my views on fable have been so polarised, that I can see that these will mostlikely be my  responses from myself when I FINALLY get a hold of it.

before you read the following..it is important to note that they will be my reactions to whether Fable "floats my boat"...come october the 8th.

I bought a X box purely for Fable

I have been following the developments over that BigBlueBox for sometime now...(3 years)

And all they have been saying for the past year is that the main quest will be between 25 to 30 hours if you KNOW what to do and rush through it.

With a possible 40 or so hours if you take your time, and a grand total of 80 or so hours if you want to see and do everything.

This has been quoted by both members of  lionhead and BBB...

So you can see why i am so pissed ! :rpissed:

so it took 4 ...nearly 5 years to make a Game that lasts only 10 hours...

What the $%$% have the main story guys been doing all this time while the rest of the team have been bogged down in all the superficial features for the past 4 years?

Was it the old Philip J fry from futurerama “it took me a hour to write so I thought I would take a hour to read” mentality.

Ahhh so it looks like now come October I will be buying fable on the Friday and completing it by the Saturday morning….ready for it to be traded in to get GTA:SA…on the 22nd.

No wait on second thoughts… I am going to hold off taking fable back to the shops….

Well worth the wait and to all that say 10 hours for the main quest is to short...then i say you don\'t know how to play fable...

Fable is about choices and has been made with the sandbox mentality.

you get what you put in children... and it asks you to use you imaginaion.. i know  thats a strange concept to most of you.

anyone to say it again it matters not about the lenght of the main quest, as the game it self offer so many distractions.

Nevermind that the game has garnered an average of 9/10\'s, all you care about is that you had to wait for a game you had no intentions of playing.

Actually, I read that ICO is relatively short (10 hours) to complete. Can anybody confirm this?

It was relatively short (I forget the exact number) but the atmosphere of that game more than made up for its lack of length.
