I think if you have enough love for music and play any instrument (of the music you like) then you would most likely know more than the average person.

The only punk I like is Green Day, Sex Pistols, and Ramones. Todays punk is too wimpy for me.

This thread has opened my eyes to the not so obvious facts that there are standards, limitations, and guidelines set to be a punk band.  I just thought it\'d be helpful to know in case I ever want to start my own.

That is so far away from what I said. What I said was that people who perform music are mostly likely deeper into music than people who dont play an instrument.
