I wouldn\'t exactly call their original meeting a debate, but I doubt Stewart will debate him - I don\'t think Stewart can have a serious debate.  By serious I mean without his usual array of humorous critiques and jabs.

They should debate again, for the sake of entertainment and not necessarily for debate purposes :)

Making fun of a bowtie is entertaining, but not debate worthy ;)

Do you ever watch The Daily Show?  If you do, I would be very puzzled as to why you think he couldn\'t have a serious debate.  The guy is very smart and very funny.  I think he would hold a very good serious debate if he chose to do that... but why should he?

BTW, it\'s possible to interject some humor and still make a serious point.  Just because we\'ve never seen anyone like Bush or Kerry succeed in doing that doesn\'t mean it isn\'t possible.

Jon Stewart participate in a serious debate?  That will be the day.

Personally I couldn\'t care less if they debate or not.  I am not a fan of either Jon Stewart or Toby Carlson.

Stewart makes smart yet funny jokes. Grabbing the audience\'s attention.

The BEST Daily Show episode has got to be

Bush vs. Bush

Talk about humiliation.

You didn\'t answer the question about whether you watch The Daily Show... and whether in fact you know what you are talking about or not.  :D

The Daily Show is great. It\'s funny. Stewart is smart. He doesn\'t like the way Crossfire is run and he told them so.

I can\'t believe that no one can come up with anything new other than "I like the Daily Show", "It\'s great!" and "Jon Stewart is smart" for days.  A week goes by and no one can post anything else that is newsworthy?  I find it ironic that this is similar to what Jon Stewart is ranting about regarding CNN and other 24 hour news stations in his book and elsewhere.  People (meaning the public) would rather discuss an irrelevant topic such as this for a week instead of talking about issues with the election only 12 days away.

Then again, I am tired of rhetoric. :)

You\'ve got a point there, and I agree with it.

For my part, I have been stuck serving on a jury for a DUI case for the last week, and I have had almost no time to read or post here.  I guess I felt a little relief that there was no burning, important topic in here that I needed to monitor.

Maybe I\'ll create one this weekend.  ;)

Giga, when it comes right down to it, you\'re the only person here that gives a **** about this board. You prove it by being on this form just about all day when you have the chance, and anytime somebody posts their opinions, you\'re the first to hijack the thread and try to immediatley start an argument. After starting the argument, you find a way to degrade them by throwing little insults into your posts. Basically, that\'s why nobody posts anything insightful, becuase they\'re tired of you being right there ready for the pounce every damn time something is posted.

Yeah, we know you\'re pretty smart when it comes to this shit. You can stop repeatedly proving it every damn time you get the chance.

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!
