I\'m ashamed to admit...my interest has somewhat shifted to Enthusia Pro Racing...

Sorry for hijacking this thread :p but it may be of interest that Enthusia will have a simulated clutch aswell....

Among the new features unveiled is the more realistic control scheme, which utilizes a non-linear pressure-sensitive throttle to give players complete management of their acceleration, deceleration, side brake, and clutch. Speaking of the side brake, it can be initiated independently of the regular brake via the R1 button while L1 controls the clutch. When used together, the two triggers will allow players to customize their own drift styles and increase the natural revs of the car more quickly. For less adept players, however, an automatic clutch will be an option as well.

What are you talking about? We\'ll most likely see better.

Anyway, the game im sure is going to be more than just an 80 something percent in my book. Gotta love GT. And all the new cars and tracks? Psh. That alone will get me to buy it.

Well, just for all who don\'t know GT4 supports progressive scan, 1080i high def, and no, not just photo mode, but real time 60fps.

Don\'t argue, its been well, well documented over at the gtplanet forums.

It\'s not real 1080i material it\'s working with.  It\'s taking the 480p source and upscaling it to 1080i.  Yes 1080i has been well documented but people still don\'t understand how it works for the PS2.

Good news is that it does look better than 480p, bad news is that it doesn\'t look nearly as good as a true 1080i source, such as HDTV, PC, or even Enter the Matrix for Xbox.

The photo mode is truly rendering that snapshot in HD but it can\'t do it 60fps.  Once you select your photo there is probably a tad bit of processing time for it to display at that resolution.

So, what you are saying GT4 doesn\'t run in 1080i in realtime.  Its just upscale/upconvert 480p to 1080i.

But when capture the pic, its in 1080i, but not 60fps, just a frame...or so...

I guess, 4 MB of VRAM couldn\'t do it...

^^

Photomode is just a special mode where you can take photos, but it renders them with full effects.

Its still running 1080i in realtime, its just not really rendering at that res.
