What i dont get is the MOBO awards thing "Black music awards" or something like that, i know nothing about it so dont ride me
. but if there was a white music awards thing then no-one would stand for it.
Thats because a large portion of awards in history have been basically white *etc* awards.
And Its not just black people that do it to themselves. A lot of people when referring to black actors call them just that and thus you get this typical black image and they are placed in roles fitting that stereotype. Of course they dont turn down certain roles which also plays into it.
Maybe its because after hundreds of years of oppression, the oppressors feel they need to repay the oppressed.
Ha. Right. As if that\'s really true.
Yeah and Chris Rock\'s jokes may talk about black *whatever* but at least hes not talking about other people - though he does. If you cant laugh at yourself then you cant begin to do so towards others (not saying that you should make fun of other people. Not only that but the fact is that they are JOKES. You dont have to laugh but black people i know find it funny.
What do you call all the redneck and blue collar comics? Seriously. If the media portrays them as "black actors" etc. is it entirely their fault? To an extent it may be, but for the most part, the actors cant put words into these peoples mouths.
I just don\'t understand why we still live in an age where the race of someone is even brought up
Good question. Perhaps it\'s because there are differences between people. Of course not everybody acts a certain way but with differences come a lot of things. Dont hold me to just that argument, for im not saying anything that i believe to be undoubtedly true, but its a possibility.
Consider the fact that just 50 years ago, less, we were still going through race riots etc. Thats not a long time ago. While we may be over it, a shit load of other people certainly arent.
