The Pope was a great man, but not according to the bible. It\'s funny what the bible actually says about people like the Pope...

It\'s not about the interpretation...it\'s what\'s written in there. I\'m not religious, but my brother is. He pointed this out to me. The Pope changes and adds to the bible, which is where "Purgatory" came from. That\'s not in the bible. He\'s basically "changing the word of God." The bible refers to someone who does this as an anathama. This is as far away from God as you can get, and they are "cursed" to the deepest realms of hell. Just The Pope being a holy man and all, I just thought it was funny and ironic when my bro pointed it out. But I still respect the Pope a great deal. He did many great things.

True. I think that the bible is nothing more than a collection of literature written by man as a moral book or a book to explain the unexplainable.

I stand by what I said, John Paul was nothing more than a face for the church.

I may of been harsh, but I spoke my opinion on the matter. I didn\'t say I was glad he was dead. I simply stated that he was not a great man and he served his purporse, to give a face to the church.
