When I first saw the console i was thinking "what the hell is sony thinking" but the black version is looking pretty neat. I really liked the design of the ps2 and this looks nothing similar (not to say something has to look like a ps2 to have a good design).

The controller, on the other hand, im just not getting. I hope that sony isnt kicking themselves in the nads. The ps2 controller IMO was almost perfect. The analog sticks could have had a little bit of work and the controller could be made to be a little more durable but other than that It was my favorite controller this gen.

On the games, im a little scetchy. Ive watched most of the videos and the resolution was obviously fairly low on a couple, some of which seemed oddly pre rendered. Actually i dont fully remember what they look like at this point since when i saw them last night i was on the brink of falling asleep.

The press conference is iffy so far too (only 14 mins in). Sony\'s stiff corporate image compared to the xbox360 team definately hurts them as well as a few things.

I\'ve watched all the trailers available on IGN and can say I\'m impressed, but not sold yet.

Oh, and Heavenly Sword owns all.  OMFG does it ever.

Not sure I agree, it seems a little more ergonomic then the original controller design IMO.

I\'d have to give it a feel though. I personally do not see much if any problem with the design in general, people fear change.

You know what it looks like? Like one of the many third party PS2 controllers, down to the shoulders buttons being to close.

I will judge a controlpad when i have it in my hands playing a game.

So far, I\'m impressed with PS3 like I thought I would.

Yeah, I\'ve seen that... crazy makeover! This, coupled with MTV showings... I guess MS really means business! :D

MS marketing guy: "Hey, let\'s sell it to those young people... let\'s give Allard an extreme makeover and teach him some hip lingo. He\'ll be down with the youngsters in no time! And we\'ll reveal Xbox 360 on MTV, that music channel the kids all seem to like! And we\'ll get celebs to say it\'s cool! THEY WILL LOVE IT!"

Paint it black and you have a bat-a-rang!

The face buttons are too far apart. The D-Pad looks weak (which has always been the best quality of the PS controller in comparison to others\'). Or maybe it\'s just fine? Wanting a hands-on. My hands, not yours.

I still think sony should have moved the left analog stick to where the D-pad is.  At least microsoft and nintendo get that part right :(

I may be alone in my opinion but I\'m glad they kept the D pad where it is, I use it more than the analog sticks.
