omg that video loaded purdy slow, but that thing\'s got me convinced. I\'m not too worried about getting tired swinging the thing about because I do that anyway. >_< At least now the movement is actually being used as input. Yayness.

I think I predicted this too. I told you I was a gaming prophet. Now all they need to do is release my lightgun idea. :}

Loaded instantly for me. Although all of the Penny Arcade forum members are probably looking at it right now.

Looks... interesting at least. Like the old geezers I\'m worried about having to wave a thing around in the air for extended periods of time. Hell, my fingers start hurting when playing Tekken.

...I usually agree, but I just don\'t know. I have a feeling that the launch titles by a first and second party developer will be interesting, but this controller will stifle any third party development what so ever..

It\'s a revolution, yes, I\'m just not sure I want part of it..I\'m so..confused at this point about it.

I\'m also confused as to why they have not showed any demo\'s of actual games or even the system itself. It\'s now obvious the focus point will be the controller, which is kind of odd.

What about Mario? Zelda? We know Miyamoto said this is the last Zelda game as we "know it". How do they plan on reinventing the wheel ? It will have to do with the controller, that is for sure. What about Mario? I don\'t see how this can work for a platform game. What about racing games? Or better yet - what about sports and fighting games? Games that require more than simple motions and two buttons...God, it\'s so confusing.

....Mark me confused...Scared...

Wow.

At first I hated it.

Then I read some applications, even making Mario jump by moving it and kind of thought that it could be worth trying first.

But I agree with the third party thing. How the fuck is Madden going on there? Or a fighting game?

I just don\'t know, I hope they do a Cube 2 controller a la Dual Shock 2.

Man, I don\'t know what to make of this...

This isn\'t much, but a few big players are putting out some positive spin.

While EA is into baseball I guess, I wonder how it will do Madden, I really do.

And fighting games... THQ likes it, but wrestling games? I have to see how many buttons are on this thing, and understand that we can hold two at once...

Quote
THQ
"Nintendo has long been a trailblazer, and this controller design reinforces that reputation," said Brian Farrell, president and CEO of THQ. "We enthusiastically support Nintendo\'s next console because we believe their approach of continual innovation is very much in line with our own strategy of creating unique and innovative games for the next generation of hardware."

Activision
"What we\'re seeing from this controller is the same thing we saw with Nintendo DS," said Chuck Huebner, Head of Worldwide Studios, Activision, Inc. "It\'s a system that\'s designed with an eye on enticing new players to the video game industry, and that\'s something we firmly support."

EA
"Game control is essential – it\'s the area where perhaps the most game-play improvement can be made," said John Schappert, Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Electronic Arts Canada. "While our portfolio represents a full array of titles across all genres, I think our sports titles might be the first to immediately take advantage of what this novel \'freehand\' type of control has to offer."

Ubisoft
"We were among the first publishers to see the control design in action," said Serge Hascoet, Chief Creative Officer of Ubisoft. "We\'re excited about the new controller and are looking forward to taking advantage of its innovative aspects."
