my dad just got out of the hospital. He had an infection..streptococcus something.... they didn\'t know where... thought it was around his hip replacement...oh yeah, he\'s 55. he\'s had 3 heart attacks, and a trple bypass. also a hip replacement (obviously) .. all from:


smoking.

Oh boy sounds like a staph infection, is it mrsa chizzy. That is what i got from the baclofen pump.It goes right to the weakest part of the body, or at least in my case directly to any thing, strange like a baclofen pump or say the material for a hip replacement.

She is extremely religious. I just got home from a diner where I ate with a very close friend of mine. I had a cheeseburger (forgot about the whole friday thing). My mom asked if I was hungry and I said no I just ate. When she asked, I said a cheeseburger. Now I\'m not allowed to go to church on easter, lol. Doesn\'t bother me. So I got a whole speech about beliefs and stuff and she said I\'m a mockery of the Roman Catholic religion and by me going, I\'m just insulting everything she believes in.

Ahhh, yes, of course the perfect motivation to attend church... spite.

Only go to church if you actually want to, else there\'s no point.  That said, if you *do* want to attend church, nobody can really stop you.

I was washing my car the next dday and she was saying when we were going to church and I said "I thought I wasn\'t going". That went over well. That was wierd. I\'m not allowed to go then she gets upset when I don\'t go. Well I went to be with my family.

im not a follower but i went with my family anyway. a) theres better battles to be fought then going to an hour of a place that you may not agree with, but you can agree with their principles (on paper at least..we all know how people can be) b) like titan said, sometimes you dont do everything for YOU.

as for your super religious mom, titan, i dont have any advice. My moms religious and would like me to go to church but shes doesnt go crazy about it. If it were me, id go through the motions of church once a year and not bother argueing about it. Then again i have a different relationship with my mom so..

Yeah but I don\'t believe in God. I\'m an atheist and very open about it. I\'m not part of a religion, hence why I don\'t go to church :)

if god really exist, then he shouldn\'t force people to believe in him, except that to let people live freely just as long as they don\'t hurt themselves or other.

so, if god does really exist and he punish people simply because they don\'t believe in him.  Then that\'s lame.  As long as they don\'t do anything mean or cruel or whatever, why punish them?  it\'s not a crime if you don\'t go to church, just as long as you have a good heart.  why bother going to church?  Just so you can "believe" in him and donate money to earn his trust?  what kind of god is that?

Nevermind...hopefully i didn\'t say anything bad...*me runs and hide*
