As someone else said - you prefer it as an emulator, something it is not meant to do. You don\'t prefer it for the system itself or the games. Therefor, your point is moot. Leave this conversation to the non-Aussie\'s, the intelligent people.

I would love to see the sales figures for US and UK... that would throw a spanner in the works.  Personally I prefer the DS... Myself and my wife ownes a DS and PSP each and the only PSP game that we really enjoy is Lumines and Burnout Legends... the rest I think is better buying for PS2.  You see, Nintendo are releasing many DS games that can only be played on the DS and nothing else because of the touch screen and mic.  I know Mario 64 DS was a lazy port, but the latest stuff is top class.

I honestly do not see Sony suffering in the near future as they a strong 3rd party line-up for the PSP.  The DS is the other way around... the 3rd party is there, but the games are atrocious.
A word of advice:

In the working world there is only two ships that sink: 1.) a Battle ship, and 2.) Partnership

I finally got started on GTA:LCS myself, but I just got Mario Kart DS and have already been playing that more.

And when I was in the store to pick it up (for 35 bucks you can\'t not get a game!) I kept seeing other titles and wishing I was spending more.

Mostly there\'s the new Mario and Luigi RPG and Castlevania DS.

DS still gets my vote.

I see nothing wrong with what he said.  I\'m pretty sure the currency exchange is about right.

How is it worth every cent - if you can buy it cheaper than the PSP, then buy a mod to do what you are claimin\' to be "great" about the PSP and it\'ll still be cheaper!  Not to mention a more solid library of games for the DS.

Common sense..
DS > PSP

Then again, I don\'t think you should be able to bring up non-convential uses as an argument in this matter.

PSP > DS

DS is for kids, and adults that have 5 minutes to feel like a kid again

cost is moot, look at the diferences in screens.  dual screens is a gimmick anyways

I normally wouldn\'t agree with that anyway, mm.

But since I just picked up Mario Kart DS... Well, you\'re wrong.

Two screens is not a gimmick anymore. It\'s been put to good use. It\'d be like saying a wide screen on the PSP is a gimmick.  Just not true.

The microphone is still a gimmick at this point, but touch controls and dual screens have paid off by now.

And I haven\'t even taken it online yet.

It\'s just a bad ass game, Mario Kart. 16 new tracks and 16 tracks from past games (SNES, N64, GBA, GCN) with tons of stuff to unlock. Multiple carts for everyone. And there\'s a mission mode I haven\'t tried yet.

I took a peek and the first one was like "drive through the 5 numbered rings" or something. That\'ll be different.
