What are they thinking?Trying to split their market?Force the consumer buy an add on?No way that would work.
If developers start developing games for HD-DVD forcing people to buy the add on to play them, it will sure create many pissed consumers.
On the other hand if they dont support it at all it will be a waste of investment.
By offering the drive as an Xbox add-on, Microsoft is hoping to win over consumers with a cheaper option than buying an all-new device to play next-generation Blu-Ray or HD DVD discs.
or people will pay for a PS3.I dont see people buying an add on and an X360 just to play HD movies.
A stand alone movie player always > console movie playback.Especially when the format is new I expect many bugs and issues with it
