Vicarious is good, very much Meshuggah influenced

I\'ve avoided listening to it. Will wait for the whole album..

In other news, APC is broke up for good it seems. Just read an interview where Maynard said he was goin to focus on Tool, Billy on his solo project and that doing two bands was "tiresome" and to much "hassle". He went into detail on why he didn\'t want to do another record with APC , so yeah...

I don\'t know if I would say that, they are so different, but I will say that I love both Mer De Noms and 13th Step.

I\'d rate them both fairly similarly. The fact that I\'ve only seen APC live, and not Tool might add a slight bias towards APC\'s music. Seeing as it\'s infinitely more gorgeous live. *shivers thinking about Blue and Orestes...

eMotive wasn\'t particularly great, but I\'ve enjoyed listening to a number of songs off of it immensely.

Arguing about the definition of an album is retarded.

Also: Going to save listening to them until I have the album in hand.

I thought Tool was better live than APC, but that might just be me.

there\'s rumor that it\'s fake. I mean..vicarious er whatever does sound like another song theyve made before. Would they go through all the trouble of mixing the songs if they werent the ones they ere releasing? i doubt it..itd be a huge waste of time if they did..but i wouldnt put it past them.

Im not that big of a fan so i dont really care either way..but im going to look at peoples reactions when the cd comes out to see if the songs are the same er what. The reason people got the idea the songs were fake is because the drummer said he had some solo er something, and none of the songs on the leaked copy have a drum solo..iv only heard vicarious so i cant say myself..

well I wouldn\'t go as far to say that the album sucks, while nowhere near their previous offerings it\'s still has some good songs on it, Vicarious, Jambi, The Pot and  Right in Two are very nice songs.

The rumours that these are fake, well I\'d like that it was that this was just something they were playing around with but I very much doubt it, the production on these songs is top notch.
Some people seem to expect some incredible things from the band.... such as recording a whole album just to leak it on the internet before the real one is released... I mean C\'mon.

I\'ll give it another listen, but it just does not live up to what I expect from TOOL.

As for being fake - I think most are just in denial, that for the first time, a TOOl album doesn\'t just plain rock.

I saw TOOL at lollapalooza back in the mid to late 90\'s... aenima just came out that summer.  Maynard was cross-dressing as a woman with big tits and a long ponytail.  He kept talking about getting his d!ck cut off and becoming a woman.

Suffice to say it was an awesome show... a little wierd, but very amazing with my front row tickets.

*gasp* Sucks? C\'mon not even you are that critical.

I have been listening to 10,000 days nonstop since I acquired it...

My first 100 listens I was kind of dissappointed, but still liked the material.

Then I realised how great this album really is. It has grown on me so much, I don\'t think I have listened to anything else - or I have, but only decided to change it back to 10,000 days. Honestly, my favorite TOOL work to date. This album is so different, its another side of TOOL. This album has much more subtle effects than any other album, definetley something you should listen to full blast.

I can\'t wait until its actually released, the artwork tool includes with all of their releases is just a treat as the music :)
Think for yourself. Question authority.
