I have debated on sellin\' my PS2  / 3DO / Virtual Boy stuff, but hell, I hate the idea of taking a loss on that stuff, so instead, it sits in my closet boxed up. Plus I\'m hopeful that my girls will want to play a 3DO eventually.

If you ever change your mind on the 3DO and VB stuff, drop me a line. ;]

well, i know how it works since it\'s quite popular.  But at least, start higher than 1 cent.  What if there is only one bidder that only bid $1.00?  So far I see it up to $10.01 now.  Lets see how it goes before the bidding end...

its kind of a like gambling for some decent amount of cash...but starting the bid at 1 cent is pretty risky in my opinion...

It\'s never a gamble. A good deal attracts people, you just have to be patient.

If a person was to goto EB games or something and buy everything I\'m selling used they would pay $200

I\'ve done this more thenonce, and I\'ve never been reamed. Ebay gets alot of hits

I think the 3DO is around 200 some games, I don\'t remember the exact number of games. The Virtual Boy is every domestic game released.

Whoa.

VB I can see, but I had no idea there were so many 3DO games. I doubt I would want to afford the cost of lifting that particular collection off you.

all that for 1 cent?

But only $69 shipping cost?
You\'ve never used eBay, apparently. Generally, when you list it for 1 cent, not only is it super cheap to list the item, you get a LOT of bids...and it ends up being much higher in the end. If he were to list it at...say...200...the list price would suck.

true that i never used ebay before nor had i ever bid before.  I can understand what you mean, but i wouldn\'t expect it to bid at 1 cent, which is the cheapest of the cheap, and next to being free.

Even bidding $10 is still very cheap and i would be surprise too if something bid that less, but at least it\'s less riskier than 1 cent...

It is a risk, but it entices a lot more people to bid on the item. If you start it at 200, you are more likely to get NO bids.

You are making bank on your shipping charges, ddaryl.

I am not saying he should start at $200.  But at least start higher than 1 cent, imo.

Like $30, where is still very cheap and still can draw more bidders too.  for $30, one can buy two greatest hit games if it goes on sale.  But if you bid a good amount of library of games with the console and the steering wheel, $30 is like a steal if you start off at $30 instead of 1 cent.  That\'s what i mean bidding higher than 1 cent, but not too high still lure a lot of bidders too.

The 1 cent thing is a "trick of the trade", so to speak.

If all else fails he could just get a friend to bid say $100 or whatever he thinks should be the minimum amount.

LMAO

my wife bid $68.. Sold it for $69 + $69 shipping and Handling. AFter shipping I\'m left with $100 profit and less crap laying around my house.

Probably would\'ve been lucky to trade all that in for $100, so it was a wash IMO, and someone else got the deal instead of Gamestop.

That\'s shill bidding, and can get any accounts involved in it deleted by ebay.
