The last two jobs i had prior to the stroke, were 79 miles each way. Good and bad factors the bad,
First the bad. this is going to drain your wallet big time.
Also the winter comute can suck big time, not sure where you live. But here in the north east, we can get some horrendous snow storms. There were some times it took me 2-3 hours to get home. If you do decide to take this job and you do have the potential for snow or other cruddy weather, consider having a small emergency stash in your wallet, learned this from my dad. Had a $100.00 dollar bill tucked in my wallet if i needed to get a room for the night i was covered. You dont want to sleep in your car in the middle of a storm. No matter what people say backseat or front is not that comfortable, i prefer a nice cozy bed.
On the other hand, i enjoyed the drive cause it allowed me time to cool down, and decommpress. I did not want to bring my work troubles home with me.
Also is your wage going to be worth it, for that i hope it is really good.
Highway our back roads.
If it is highway, then figure out the route to and fro,
backroads wise its good to know the route both ways
If there is a accident you want to be able to bail off the nearest, highway exit.I did those two jobs for a combined 14 years.
Now my comute is say 50 ft tops.
Weigh out your options the pro\'s and cons befoire jumping on this new job.
Only you can decide if this is right for you.
Who knows if i was not disabled i would probably still be doing it.
