I find a lot of YTMNDs entertaining despite the lack of funny. I mean its something to look at that\'s different than other stuff on the net. And quite a few in their hall of fame are funny.

I\'m not convinced that this is goin\' to be the name. The name is not trademarked in the US - the official site as of the other day still called it the \'Revolution\'.. A lot of speculation that this could be a dummy name, to generate press, then come e3 release the real name.

Nevermind, site now has it up as the Wii.

I was talking to a friend last night and I came up with an interesting hypothesis on why its called such an odd name. Since the console itself is rather "different", they decided on a very "different" name unlike anything else. But I wonder what they were smoking when they came up with that.

The name is real, and likely will remain so. The trademark websites aren\'t up to date. They don\'t even list PlayStation 3 for Sony.

The i\'s are supposed to represent people and/or two controllers. The sound "we" is supposed to bring to mind community for English speaking people, the word "good" for Japanese, and be easily pronouncable amongst other languages.

I think that would\'ve been cool and accomplished most everything they were looking for without being so silly to use in most sentences.

Tired of the normal controller. How many times can Sony recycle the same design? Sure, they changed it abit this time, but is that goin\' to effect how we play games? No.

I\'m sure the Wii will lack in third party games, but you count on it excelling in first party and second party games and that\'s enough for me.

I like the look of the Wii itself. Its small, sleek, a box....what more could you ask? I think it looks pretty sick in black.

how does updating graphics on madden or frogger break them?
you still play football and you still dodge cars.

now nintendo wants you to jerk the controller in different directions to throw the ball or jump to another log.  :rolleyes:

the wii controller will flop for 3rd parties and support will die when noone cares for it, bet on it.
