No it doesn\'t. The whole point is all they done was added a bunch of stuff that othe companies done this generation. Add some extra stuff, improve the graphcis and throw a big \'3\' on the end of the Playstation logo.

Stop trying
Someone can make the Wii seem worse if he wants to too.

Take GC add a different controller and voila its Wii.

oh, i\'m far more cynical then even my N64CC days.

so what has microsoft or nintendo done aside from a hokey controller or 15% better graphics?  wake me up when they can handle 8xAA, 16xAF, or even really advanced stuff like virtual-boy.

let me paraphrase
Quote
PC\'s > all

but why 400$, is that what your budget allows?
600$ vs 400$ is moot
the cost just gives the intarweb scamps something to bicker and giggle about
once the PS3 only titles are released, the credit cards will come out in mass.

Come on uni, you\'ve been making a lot of sense, but that last post?

I mean, someone could do that, but they wouldn\'t have the same valid points that LIC had.

Two hundred dollars is not moot. I could afford to go pay for a PS3 in full now, but instead, I\'ll be taking my money and paying for the wii.

Hokey controller? YEA...Same was said about the first analog controller.

I forgot to mention. Someone can do the same with the PS3 to make it look better too

PS3 has even more impressive specs (real improvement), will have downloadable content as well and a controller with a similar feature without sacrificing anything I loved in gaming in the past.

Without knowing the official price tag, I speculate you can get a Wii and five games for the cost of a stripped down PS3 with nothing.

Actually... I\'ll probably do just that. :)

That\'s my plan.

New Mario.
New Zelda.
New PilotWings.

That\'d be the PERFECT launch.

At this point, the only thing the PS3 has that even remotely interests me is VF5 and I can\'t justify a purchase of one for that single title. Just like I couldn\'t justify the purchase of a Xbox 360 for uh...that one title...uhm,yea.

When the new Mario operates on a totally unique controller scheme...yes.

And you\'d be surprised how different each Zelda game is. New innovations everytime.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

That wasn\'t my point. I\'ve played Zelda since the gold cartridge NES days.

A new Zelda with the kind of controls its getting is original. It\'s not revolutionary, but it\'s unique at least.

If only Nintendo would announce some kind of commitment to original franchises. Or go out of its way to create new types of games that would appeal to a broader audience.

Oh well, just a pipe dream. Right?
