witnessing and experiencing are 2 different things. It\'s bullshit, flat out crap. If you believe in it then good for you. I also believe in santa too. I\'ve studied a fair amount of martial arts and a few different styles. I\'ve seen similar crap to this before and told my instructors about it. They had a good laugh.
No matter how many martial arts someone may study doesnt mean much today because almost every martial art has been degraded from its original effectiveness. Most Kung Fu martial arts for example have transformed into nothing but beautiful looking moves and patterns.
TaeKwonDo have turned mostly into a sport when in the past it was effective even in wars. Even the ITF style is degraded.
Judo is as effective as the olympic roman wrestling
Karate also turned into a sport
there are tons of examples of martial art degration.
Because the true form of martial arts are excessively hard to master, instructors dont teach them as they should have been taught otherwise people puting the effort to learn them would have been scarce. Real martial arts training is too hard for most people even for those that already practice martial arts. Then the students become instructors but arent teaching the martial art as it should have been taught either because they have been taught as much.
While every shaolin moink will tell you how important the development of Chi is most western instructors will tell you that its just excercise like every other excercise or tell you its not needed
My father for example have seen in person incredible things Shaolin monks could do. Walk on spears while holding heavy bricks, getting kicked in the genitals and feel nothing, 6 year old kids standing on one leg for 15 minutes while the other one is completely straighten up horizontally, get hit with swords with no injury inflicted, keeping the horse riding stance for more than an hour etc etc.
On the other hand I ve met instructors that teach less than what they should have.
Also most sparring trainings are done under very limiting rules. I am very dissapointed by these because they arent letting you test and imporve your effectiveness in real life. Some supposed masters wouldnt even let you spar with the excuse that "its against the principles of the martial art" or that "moves are too dangerous and they can kill someone". Simply because they arent good enough either. And when the time comes to face someone in real life and use these "oh so powerful moves" you get your ass kicked.
Is it because martial arts are all bs? Ofcourse not. There is a reason why they survived all these years. They were practiced among the best army officers, generals and soldiers in ages of fierce wars were you had to improve every sense and part of yoru body.
Few people learn a martial art as it should be. Many will learn Wing Chun, but only few will go as far as knowing the secret most powerful techniques like the powerful iron fist which could brake your skull. Only few will reach the real form of Tai Chi which actually involves force and fast moves as well and not just slow moves that pretty much everyone is familiar with in countless Tai Chi schools everywhere.
Only few will learn the true form of TaeKwonDo which has too fast and powerful kicks for someone to even try grap your leg.
Only few will learn the real master form of Karate which involves Reiki or internal force.
Most martial artists today are effective in a fight mostly because they have built enough physical strength from their training. Not because they are true masters.
