Okay so last night, I stayed at my moms house while she was out for the weekend because I was bored and she has a TV and I don\'t.

Anyways, I was relaxing channel surfing and I come across a movie called Audition which was just about to start. I was a little buzzed and in that state of relaxation where the television just has all your attention and there is nothing going on in the world. The phone could ring and you would just be too lazy to get it. So the movie starts and i\'m getting into it, at the start it comes across as a light hearted movie about this really nice guy looking for a new woman in his life so he holds a fake audition and really hits it off with this one girl.

Then it takes a nose dive into the creepy and weird like nothing else. Maybe it was just my particular mood and state of mind last night but this movie was awesome. Also because I knew nothing about Takashi Miike I thought this movie was something else entirely from what it was and was very much so caught off guard by it.

After browsing info about it today I found it made it to number 11 on Bravo\'s 100 Scariest Movie Moments. Anyways the clip from Bravo sums up my feelings about this movie

This guy rocks. Check out "Ichi the Killer". I must warn you though, this movie is friggin\' gross.

Ichi the Killer is fucking awesome omg lol - kakashi is the man

Visitor Q is another good movie - it was actually a made for tv movie from what i hear and its crazy

Izo i was highly disappointed in though

His Dead or Alive series is supposed to be good too


on another note if you have never Seen Battle Royale 1 or 2

highly recommend them - not so much Japanese horror but awesome non the less

phenomenal movie.  that sound the chick makes when she\'s sawing him creeps me out every time.

surprised nobody mentioned Gozu yet

the ending is...ummmm....yeah.

i wasnt overly keen on it, but maybe as i knew to much about it, and i ound ichi a anto climax, i thougt it was going to be much more violent...

battle royale was amazing!!

zatochi, im prettys ure he is in the movie... not like audition, but is superb too

Yeah, it came out in 1999, so its been out for awhile.

I definately want to pick up at least Gozu and  Ichi on thursday, pretty much anything I can get my hands on is what my pay check is going to this week. I\'m hoping I don\'t have any problems getting unrated versions, espeacially of Ichi. The rated R version sounds extremely tame compared to what i\'ve been reading about the unrated version.

Audition is boring as hell until the final scene...

Ichi the Killer is the craziest movie I have ever seen and I had no idea what the hell was going on...

Other Japanese movies...

Kairo = Almost fell asleep
Uzumaki = Stupidest movie I\'ve ever seen
Suicide Club = Starts out interesting, drags, then had no idea what was going on
Battle Royale = Excellent
Battle Royale 2 = Starts out good, then gets worse and worse, ridiculous ending
Dark Water = Great, the little girl is the cutest, the ending will bring you to tears
One Missed Call = Fun, confusing ending
Ju-On: The Curse = Scary as hell
Ju-On: The Curse 2 = Steals your money
Ju-On: The Grudge = Boring
Ju-On: The Grudge 2 = My favorite J-Horror movie
Tomie movies = ZzzzZZzzzZzZzzZZ
