To tell me she\'s been robbed at knifepoint (being 6 months preggo, and with our 3 other children with her).  Luckily she and the kids are alright, but he took her cell phone and ran.  He wanted cash but she didn\'t have any on her.

This happened outside of her work around 11 am this morning.  They locked down 3 area elementry schools until they caught him, and now she has to go downtown and ID him in a lineup.

I wish I could have been there

That is awful, but it is good that they\'re ok. I\'ve read that you should keep at least 25 dollars in your pocket at all times in case something like this happens. Generally, these scumbags just want cash. This guy is human waste and I hope he stays imprisoned for a long time. Holding up a pregnant woman with her 3 other kids? Some people are absolute scum. It\'s unfortunate that she had to experience that, but again...I\'m glad she and the kids are ok.

I hate how robbers pick the most vulnerable people like pregnant women or elderly. Do they feel proud of themselves after doing that? Plus, when they\'re caught, they just look like douchebags. If I was a robber, I\'d rob someone my size. This way when I\'m caught, people will see that I\'m a bit ballsy.

that blows ass.  Since I\'ll be starting my work as a cop in about a month I\'ve gotten a bit paranoid about something happening to my girl.  I\'ve been trying to talk her into getting her CCW permit.  Do you think a 5\'3 blond girl carrying a dessert eagle is overkill?
