Get the new models. These problems have been fixed, not to mention MS stepped up and added to the warranty.

For some people it is. Imagine my wife\'s cousin just enjoying the hell out of the brand new game he just bought, GEARS of War (I\'ll get you, viper!) , when in the middle of his bliss the dreaded Red Ring of Death kicks him on the side of his gaming head.

He was quite upset. No console for more than a month (turn around time). Repeat that 3 more times until he sold it for $50 and bought an Elite.

I ll probably get the Elite once I ll get a job. Too busy studying at the moment.

Well mine hasn\'t died but once in awhile I get my system error or it won\'t turn on at all.  I just keep turning it off and on until it comes on.  My buddy has got the red circle of death.  I don\'t care cause I\'m saving up for a PS3 which I could by next pay check.  And if I do what game(s) should I purchase?
