Being the casual gamers favorites makes it better in my eyes.

That being said, the highest level of play in Melee embarrasses the amount of control and precision against games like Tekken or Virtua Fighter. Just watch, its not on lightning melee, its just uber skill that only 10 or so players in the world can play at.

All games have their freaks that can do "unbelievable" things. That includes Tekken and VF.

That\'s really quite believable. There\'s less precision in that game and its easy to see. There\'s some nice inputs in between combos but the freaks in this game use like 5+ inputs on a controller in one second per normal.

You\'ve done nothing but troll in this thread without backing anything up. Main Forum is that way, please direct yourself to it.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

You have to play the game to know how hard some things are even if they look simplistic. There were a few just frames as well in there as well as very accurate timing.

I\'ve played pretty much fighting game and done so at a decent skill level because I always understand the amount of precision required to play at a top level.  I\'m sure I could beat anyone here in Street Fighter 2, Soul Calibur 1+2, Marvel vs Capcom 2, games I haven\'t played in years but understand all the mechanics enough to dominate most opponents. Not a Tekken fan, but its pretty easy to count the inputs in those combos/movements and nothing close to Melee.

I\'ve been practicing getting hardcore good at Melee for about 3 months now. No way I could compete at the top level or close to it without another year or so of practice with a decent partner, probably never because when you get hit you need to swing the control stick and the C stick in funny ways in 1-2 freakin frames or else you die.

Yeah its very ironic. Move along.

A. "Just sayin" can be fine when the person knows what they\'re talking about. You don\'t, so you\'re basically "just sayin" that you\'re ignorant. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I\'ve learned through hard knocks over the past decade that if you\'re going to talk shit (especially on the internet) then at least know your shit. You don\'t know your shit.

B. The engine wasn\'t already in place. The SSBB engine was built for the ground up to take advantage of the Wii\'s capabilities, and it has completely new everything for every character that was in SSBM. It also has a lot of new features, including an extremely fleshed out single player campaign... and online play. Online play that needed lots of tender lovin\' care to make sure that it was optimized and balanced.

C. It doesn\'t take a brain surgeon to program for any console, but you said it yourself... Nintendo makes high-quality games. They\'re making SSBB a treat for the long haul, with hundreds of hours of content. A high-detail (for the Wii) game with entirely orchestrated soundtrack, unflinching 60fps framerate, and more easter eggs than a selfish bunny...

The 27-28 month development time to get it perfect doesn\'t bother me at all.

Damn, what happened here, when did Clips get bitchy and call people retards?

All Blade did was corrected you. You made a post full of errors and tried to base an opinion on it. He made of been alittle rude about it, but not much.

And anyone who thinks SSBM is easy, has no clue. The game is deep.  And for the record, Tekken is for people who can\'t handle their own in a real fighting game like the VF series.  And this is coming from someone who enjoys the Tekken series.

:)

P.S - Marvel VS Capcom is one of the greatest..Ever.

This coming from you, means nothing.

Not to mention his post had no trolling in it what so ever, so who is trolling? The person who put out a semi-intelligent post or the person who can only come up with a totally retarded comment such as, "says the troll".

Hmmmmmmmmmm..

Oh well, I predict Jumpy to come up with some totally off the wall and great insult for Uni now.

every game has its level of hardcore...

SSBM is just the same but why does it always gotta be NO ITEM NO ANYTHING FINAL DESTINATION!!!

its basically gotta be stripped and dumbed down or its broken as hell... so yea on hardcore lvl it fails imo

gives me SF3
http://youtube.com/watch?v=fx3EvFEOkig  make sure to watch it till the last match - amazing fight - prolly most popular sf3 vid of all time

or Guilty Gear XX: Slash and ill show you stuff
http://youtube.com/watch?v=JSsJTx7brXM&feature=related

SSBM has the same amount of crazy frame timings as games like guilty gear and VF imo so i wouldn\'t see why a grabfest match is very impressive

but yea watch some EVO matchs of all the above games and you will see there is plenty of skill and top tier gaming on all of them - pick the style of gameplay you like and be happy no one will ever agree to "this fighting game > all" :p
This Sig is a Work in Progress.

Aye, Clips, I\'m sorry if I offended you. It\'s nothing against you.

I just see so many opinions formed that don\'t have a lot of facts to back them up, and occasionally I like to call people on it.
