Please don\'t tell me you actually think MGS has a strong storyline.
It\'s a bunch of nonsense from a wanna be director.  The game play may be strong, but the storyline most certainly is not.
My Hi-Def movie collection (much smaller than the SD one).

Regardless of opinion on the storyline ; it\'s in most cases, exactly that, which keeps many MGS fans coming back for more.

Let\'s take tv soap opera\'s for example or Danielle Steel\'s tv movie versions ; i hate \' em, but still, many become devoted/addicted fans.

Personally, i think the main messages behind the MGS storyline are very good ones, although i do find the cinemantic direction in MGS2 was somewhat flawed. If you think it\'s all nonsense ( direction or content ? ), then state some proper arguments instead of playing it on Kojima\'s person.

Gameplay wise, MGS3 was just a small taste of MGS gameplay evolution in MGS4 ; as a stealthgame fan who likes to work through the game without kills, only knock outs & pure evasion, MGS4 will be the game to make me buy a PS3.

Physics.
Vampires.
Robots.
Clones.
All in one story.

Honestly - do I need to make a proper argument?

Ok, you like comic books : Batman etc.

Not judging nor direct comparing these different media, but isn\'t it often in such comic books exactly a mix of extroadinary elements which fascinates the fans ?

Or... how\'s HL2\'s sci fi mix equally warped yet acclaimed across the board ... just like MGS...

To each their own.

I fall under the category that thinks MGS has one of the most pathetic story lines of any game, ever. And that is only highlighted by the fact that Kojima is a failed director and has problems controlling his vision. He really needs someone else to step in and edit his stuff.

As for the comic book comment, yeah I like comics. Only certain ones, the ones where I can actually care about the character, unlike in MGS.

With that said, I doubt I play MGS for one reason.  Stealth.  I suck at stealth games as I would rather just rambo up and kill everything in sight.

Try not to be a douche. You\'re too fucking stupid to join in the discussion, so stay on the side line, retard.  A three year old can post something like that.

Winner.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Yeah I just asked you a simplest possible thing. One word. But you fail to convince anyone like always. And stop giving too much attention to someone you publicly admit you view as stupid as a three year old. It doesnt compliment you.

Anyways I ll talk with people that care about the game

Anyone noticed the attention to detail? One of the puppets intentionally looks like Psycho Mantis. The second looks like the Sorrow.

This boss specifically exposed psychic-like powers in one of the trailers.

I just asked you the simplest possible thing that the others would want to see answered. One word. Nothing wrong with that. But since your smartness can go as high as that you turned the discussion towards me again. Quite possibly because you are smart enough to join and make good discussions related to the topic.

Anyways I ll talk with people that care about the game than with a douche that likes to impose his opinions on others

:D

From a (Swedish ;) ) game magazine review :

Small excerpt shows this game will have so many surprises up it\'s sleeves, so that voids the \'it\'s just a stealth game\'  argument & generalization... or did you play the game already ? :

”MGS4 constantly changes character. While previous parts in the MGS series have had good pacing and a large variation, Guns of the Patriots almost feels like several separate games. The different locations that Solid Snake visits are radically different from each other, both visually and in terms of how they force you to play. There are large, open areas with it’s a challenge just finding the right way. There are also completely linear sections. Enemies vary from human soldiers who make rational decisions to the occasional but very powerful mechs and tiny little robots who throw themselves over Snake.

Some parts are all about pure action in the vein of Lost Planet or Gears of War. Other times it’s a fatal error to equip yourself with anything other than silenced pistols. There are suspenseful chase sequences and mech battles. In one moment Snake is forced to use his eyes to look for signs in the nature in order to follow a person. In the next he’s forced to listen for sounds to be able to maneuver properly. Sequences where he travels alone in claustrophobic tunnels are followed by enormous battles where troops face off against each other, helis are thundering in above the ground and APCs head in between the trees.

The game constantly showers the player with new impressions, new challenges, and the end result is never anything else than fantastic.”
