GC or x-box? I have my choice...

      You think X-box is pretty pricy don\'t you? On the news they said it will be $300. Don\'t beleive me? I can\'t prove it to you, but just think about it. How much money does Bill Gates have, probably over $20,000,000,000. He can defintatly mangage to lose 1/2 of that money. Now what do you think? Well, the truth is PS2 will rule the gaming business until X-box comes out. They have the same developers and more than PS2. They have Zelda, Final Fantasy X and XI, and MGS2:Sol. even before it comes out it has kick @$$ games@!!! I have and always will be loyal to Sony, but I\'m gonna go with both. Now that you think about it, wouldn\'t you actually have a system that people won\'t say "your syatem sucks" or "man, GC/DC/PS2 is better"? X-box has games, power, and parties. What more do you want? A tanning machine? Whether you like it or not, x-box is gonna kick @$$. I love PS2 more than you can imagine, but X-box is gonna come out on top.

Actually PS2 has around 350 3rd party developers while MS has around 150 signed up.

I AM NEUTRAL, I say this because I want you all to know that I am not basing my oppinions on a single product like X-Box or PS2, but at the same time I\'m gonna say that I am going to get both, this way you all know I am not here to bash one or the other.


ok here we go, X-box is not getting FF10 or FF11, they are both PS2 exclusive because SquareSoft signed a contract limiting those titles for the ps2, also, MGSX is gonna be a remake of the origonal for the X-Box, because Konami has signed a 3 episode contract for ps2, that\'s right folks, there is gonna be a MGS3 for ps2, also I would like to say that I am sick and tired of all you dumb asses thinking that the X-box is more powerfull then the ps2, X-box will be able to put out 300 million polygons a sec but what they don\'t tell you is that each polygon is devided into four parts because they all look like little pyramids, so when you say that ps2 is only gonna be able to put out 66 million/sec, what\'s 66 million times four, yo got it boys, ps2 is just as powerfull as X-box, and to make another note, ps2 can through 6.4 gigs of info thro7ugh there cords but X-box can only put out 3.2 gigs, and if you don\'t understand what I am talking about than don\'t even try to bash me cause you\'ll look like an idiot.

ITS TOO EARLY TO MAKE A DESCISION...
but IF I had to make one now, It would be the gamecube.. but its too early to tell or make a descision... its still over 10 months away

If I had to pick one it would be the X-box, its gonna have 256 bit graphics........Bill Gates.........and a 40kb hard drive..........and a satalite modem,come on who could complain about that?

I heard about the Squaresoft contract (next 5 games) but I never heard about the konami contract. No one has SAID that Xbox would get MGS2 however, Microsoft may want people to anticipate MGS2 and go in favor of Xbox. Microsoft does pull that crap.

If you wanna survive around here Aires, you will have to be more humble, acting like a know-it-all is not going to get you anywhere, especially on this board where you will get laughed at for that sorta thing.

(Not including nvidia or pentium) Microsoft tends to overhype specs. Xbox can handle 100 MICROPOLYGONS. But I heard rumors that it can only handle around 40 million. More than GC and DC, but less than PS2. And the emotion engine is a hell of alot more powerful than a pentium III and Nvidia chip COMBINED. It\'s just not as fast. But speed isn\'t power when regarding graphics chips.

If you want to debate these things we have a console debate forum that you should use.

Also unless you can provide proof that Square has exclusive deals as well as Konami then its is nothing more than your opinion and with your 5 post count that doesn\'t hold alot of water in this forum.

ALso @ires, lets think about this. Lets say you have machine (a) capable of 10 million polygons on screen per second, and another machine (b) is capable of 40 million polygons on screen persecond.

Wouldn\'t machine ( be using 4 polygons to draw the 1 polygon in machine (a)???

Which machine would be capable of a more detailed polygon enviroment. machine (a) or machine(b) ?????

Dude Sony still rules in the support department. PS2 has more games and more developers and more publishers support then Xbox/GC/DC so your misinformed there.

As for XBox on trop, you forget 1 thing and its huge, the name Microsoft pisses off alot of people. You can argue it but its a struggle MS has to overcome. Also , FFX is a PS2 exclusive, FFXI online may goto Xbox but no official reports just MS people saying Square will which is BS cause if Square won\'t say it then its not true. Konami hasn\'t comnfirmed MGS2 just MGSX and who knows what the hell that will be Konami refuses to comment on it, so again no offiical announcements


and Since when has Nintendo agreed to port Zelda to Xbox, where did you get that info why would Nintendo shoot themselves in the foot ???


So yes I believe XBox will be a kick ass machine but it won\'t dominate the industry. Not to mention when Xbox is out for $300.00 the PS2 will be $200or less with 5+ times the amount of games so Xbox might not look attractive to all those console buyers who refuse to pay top dollar for a new machine and thats the majority of gamers.

It would be a good idea to wait and see what all each console has to offer before you make your decision. We\'ll know when E3 comes around.

if computer (a) is putting out 4 m/sec and (b) is putting out 1m/sec, but the four that (a) is putting out is undevided then 9B0 will be putting out just as much, and if you say that I am wrong about that the n I am going to slap you, these things are tought to you in grade 10 for crying out loud.
