heard it all?  never went to psx3central.com and saw what happens?

sigh....at what point do i believe you are being stubborn, trolling or just stupid.

i told you repeatedly that membership is closed due to 80+ spambots attacking the site and it has been closed much longer than you realize.  i authorize every new membership based on IP address, email used, and username.  think \'Raz The Friggin Grea\' was allowed to post due to luck?
this was all very time consuming, and i lost interest for a while.
im interested again, and you have little right to criticize this.

if one other person aside from me posts on the blog, it\'s a success since nothing exists now.
how can you measure this with spite and mockery?
if there was payment involved, we wouldn\'t be reliant on generosity for getting this accomplished.
\\

OMG - YOU GOT A REDIRECT.
YOU SO LEET!!11!!

And since when did you have to authorize every new membership? I\'m sure you\'re notified, but last I recall, membership was instant, unlike other forums that come up with a page saying that the ADMIN must authroize and vertify before you can post.

I may be wrong tho\'. If so, I apologize. If not, oh well.

As for one person using it. Sure, if that is how you want to define a success. I\'d define that a total failure. Then again, I doubt you\'ll actually use the BLOG or whatever idea you got cooking. You rarely post and aren\'t known for your community interaction. What makes this idea so much better? Reminds me a lot of the whole journal suggestion - you know, the one that is almost never used.

And while we are at it - honestly, PSX3? No one ever called it that. I understand why this was called PSX2 - but PSX3? You expect people to Google, "PSX3 forums". Or just "PS3 forums"? Because when I google, "PS3 forums", I see plenty of big sites that already have the market cornered.

In the end, more power to you. I\'ll take the wait and see approach, as I\'ve heard all this nonsense about PSX3Central. I\'ve seen the web designs we had at one point. I\'ve read all the suggestions. I\'ve also watched membership keep dying on this forum.  Think I\'ll just continue to post, to chat with a few select people and if you manage to pull it off, good job. If not, well, I told ya\' so.
;)

I\'m confused?
I thought membership was closed?
Will someone please, explain!?!!
And it took me two seconds to register and post?
Please clarify. Was I authorized by you - or the system?

Feel free to delete that username.
I\'m just trying to get a clear answer here.

Are memberships closed? This would say they aren\'t.
Does MM have to "authorize every single one"? This would say he doesn\'t.

So - what exactly is going on? Either they\'re closed and have been for awhile. Or they aren\'t closed and they don\'t have to be authorized by MM.

Clear answer , please.

ok I\'m just going to walk in here and start blabbering. I haven\'t really kept up with events as of late, and as mm put... not been doing my mod duties... never really thought this place to be moderated.

But, like most of you guys... I\'ve been visiting this place daily, for almost a decade. So I\'ve "known" some of you guys for almost a decade now. And the thought of this place going away almost scares me. So all this talk of gloom and doom as of late annoys me.

LIC, I don\'t know man, there\'s been a whole lot of stuff around you as of late, like the whole post deleting stuff that caused you to leave a few months back or the unicron thing now. And this beef you seem to have with mm. People seem to badmouth you alot and I just ignore it, simple reason is that I\'ve always respected you and your opinions and I still do. But I can\'t help to notice that you actively act destructive at times. I don\'t know if this place will ever will ever get back to it\'s "former glory" or not, but we can try to build this place up again. You almost come across as hellbent on this place closing down to prove a point. I just don\'t get why.

Saying stuff that the people here don\'t game any more is just silly. It\'s true that most of us are older and have less time to game. But I for one write video game review now and get payed for doing that. I truly belive that we have a bunch of people here that could maintain an interesting front page, with review, news and opinions.

That being said, this place needs a front page, we\'ve tried to start one but never gotten around to it. A some of us are trying to get ... atleast started behind the scenes. Here\'s to hoping.

Now, this post comes across as whiny and sappy.... well blame that on me being tired and emotional, I was watching one tree hill just a minute ago :p
I recently discovered that my ass is the key to the universe.....now I must fight to protect my ass from those who might abuse it!!!

I\'ll always love you, buddy. But you need a kick in the nuts (if you have some?!??) for watching One Tree Hill.

I don\'t have a beef with MM. He\'s cynical. I\'m cynical. We merely butt heads at points - at least that is how I view it. I have no actual problem with MM. If anything, I think we\'re both too cynical for our own good and it causes us not to see eye to eye. Typically our arguments just go in circles, but I enjoy them. Just like this little debate.  I respect what MM and Bjorn done when this forum started. How many other forums have watched people grow up and have their own children? But there is bad with that. I mean, we lost the main page a long time ago. We lost a lot of good posters and now what is left? A few people who post and pick at each other . Whose to blame? I\'d say MM is partly to blame. He says you all failed at what was required of you as a MOD - but what about him? He has done nothing in years to keep this forum going. It\'s just been the same ole\'. If anything, we lost stuff.  Remember when you had to have 500 posts for a picture? That\'s gone. Remember stars? Gone. Seems small, but those things added up and kept people here.  Not all is to blame on him - not by any means. People move on. People change. It just happens, I\'m just saying that this forum has been stagnant for how long now? Do you honestly think a typical blog addition is going to add anything?

I\'m not hellbent on this place closing down. I\'m just realistic. Right now it\'s a small community of people and there is nothing wrong with that. Why waste time for something that most likely will be an epic failure?

And just to clear this up..
The only person I generally dislike and have "beef" with is Uni. He just annoys me to no end with his crap, but enough of that.

We need to hook up and on the same team. I\'m a career medic, usually. I\'ll love you, long long time.

You jerks do know I play Team Fortress al the time too? How come you never invite me to play with you? :(

And dude, an epic failure? Why do you care so much if some people here wanna use the front page for something other than a redirect to these forums?

We got a front page just sitting there doing nothing, we might as well do something.

A blog site would be easy to maintain, and probably pretty fun, and if it brings in some new members here then all the better.

I don\'t care . I\'m just showing the other side of it.

And uhm - we just never invite you..You know..because uhm...well..this is awkward.

And to answer an earlier question by, MM.

You\'d be correct. No chance I am interested in a blog or any of that nonsense. It\'s a forum. I post here to interact with a few people,that\'s all.  Then again, that\'s me, I\'m odd cynical bastard, I guess.

LIC is correct.  i like the guy, and even told him a simple PM would get his old name back if he wanted it.

however, you\'re being a complete dick about that i\'ve done for this forum.
do i have to paypal someone else 50$ to setup wordpress and then skip town?

this forum exists for you guys, or bjorn wouldn\'t pay the hosting fees.
have you ever seen a single fucking ad around here?

you want a reason why uni was made a mod?  how about to poke the bees nest with a stick?
got everyone all riled up, didn\'t it.
sure didn\'t work like i intended it to, but i apologized and moved on within minutes.

last night, i enabled new signups and turned off the moderation feature.
either the spambots have given up and moved on, or there is a problem.
in case you think i\'m bullshittin, here\'s the domain email account that lets me know when a new member signs up.

yes, that\'s 7530 since last oct, and i\'ve deleted at least 1000 at the beginning.

Man  - I\'m not being a a dick here. I\'m just pointing out all the stuff we lost and the members we lost. I apperciate you actually want to do it, but I know you\'ve heard the phrase, "too little, to late". And I feel that is probably what we\'ve encountered. If anything, I think a Multi-Console site would stand a better chance. Something that just caters to every kind of gamer, not specific to Sony. I know that sounds absurd, but honestly, look at all the great PS3 forums out there with features. On the other hand, there isn\'t a lot of great forums that supports every system. They\'re hard to maintain (trolls), but I think they breed a certain bond, due to the fact the posters who actually stay would be non-trolls and people who just enjoy the gaming industry.

That\'s just my two cents and of course, I didn\'t even charge for it.

Best of luck to you on this whole thing. I\'ll continue to appreciate the forum for the people that I enjoy interacting with. Maybe I am just old fashioned like that.

Now, was Uni a mod or not? At one point you denied it and said he simply had special permissions. Now you say he was a MOD.  Make up your mind.
You know I read those posts in detail, just so I can pick on ya\' and find something.

:D

P.S - I may still take you up on the old name. I\'m starting to feel a bit sentimental.

Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Don\'t miss him or the ooSeven.

I do miss Ryu tho\'. He use to find import Saturn games, buy them and just charge for the game and shipping. Great guy all around. I think he even recorded the first episode of \'Justice League Unlimited\' and mailed it to me. At least if I recall correctly, it was him.

i am certainly not opposed to the site being multi-console, since i own and enjoy all 3.  that will be up to the members who decide to post on the main site.  i have one expectation, entertaining.

VBB is funy how it grants permissions.  even without being in the "moderator" global group, users can be granted permissions to do mod type actions, yet it still thinks they are a mod while still in the "registered" global group.

i can\'t think of a member we lost that\'s really important.
eiksirf and blade still come around occasionally.
would love to know what watchdog is up to these days.

http://forums.highdefdigest.com/ has a decent multi-console debate forum i frequent mostly.
