Luke pretty much summed up my feelings aswell. The whole unicorn thing I didn\'t really understand. If he was so hated why give him a spotlight and more attention than anyone on this board has recieved for years. Unicorn wasn\'t "exposed" to the majority of people on this board last week, of course what he said was stupid but was it really a shock? Meh, I guess I just don\'t give a shit as much as Jump, Raz, and Giga did.

Also on the subject of Raz\'s posts bugging people because it seems to some people he only posts to let everyone know how much he hates whatever you like. Raz can post whatever he wants, and over the years isn\'t that the kind of attitude we expect of Raz? to complain about everything? I would be more weirded out if he showed up one day and was supremley happy all the time.

No his kids and wife don\'t need to have harm wished upon them. But you can\'t really say its a suprise he eventually got under someones skin and someone wanted to return the favor. Which they apparently did. I got to know Raz better when I pestered him with questions on building my new PC and outside of the forums I think Raz is a pretty nice guy. But honestly if I hadn\'t talked to Raz on a different medium before I don\'t think I would of cared about any insults that come his way.

That being said and that not being the case because from the brief interaction I have had with Raz in the past I don\'t think he is a grinch and as I said I don\'t think his kids or wife should be brought into an internet forum fight.

As for the new site, I think the new site should be literally made for the 20 or so regulars first and foremost. The blog idea written by members I think is a great idea and letting regulars be mods I also think is a good plan. As Ryu said "let the inmates run the asylum". I think if the new site focuses on small tasks aimed at a small number of people it will get off the ground much much faster than if you devot a large amount of time trying to come up with something that will please a large population of new members.

Honestly this is the first serious discussion we\'ve had on the new site in how many years? I ceartinly don\'t think its time to throw in the towel. Regardless of what some say about the site, it can\'t be that bad when most of the regulars have been here for almost a decade.


PS: If raz pisses me off I can log into TF2 and blow him to smitherines. Maybe because I have that option his negativity doesn\'t bug me.

few hours with someone who knows how to implement wordpress or the like, and it\'s done aside from administration.
put the link in some sigs on other forums, get some reviews on metacritic/gamerankings and it takes care of itself.

for the 3rd time, i have little expectations for this aside from seeing what people can do with some creativity and humour.

I\'d offer my services to help on the site but alas i\'m one of the suckers who still does not have a PS3. But that\'ll change in a few months and if I still have the amount of free time I do now i\'d be happy to help with the new site in whatever way I can.

I would love for this site to have the front page back up. I\'ve been here for about 9 years now, longer than most of the regulars and I\'ve watched this place change a lot. I helped way back in the day when the old front page was up and I\'d love to help again when we have the new one. I\'d like to be a part of it.

What I find very sad is after almost a decade (for some of us) getting to know each other over the years that we still have these trivial pissant arguments over nothing. We\'ve all grown up together I think we can cut each other some slack. I know I\'ve gotten on people\'s nerves over the years but I\'ve never held grudges cuz quite frankly, this place is like family almost. Hell I\'ve been posting since I was like 15 and I\'m turning 24.

You guys gotta learn to let go of some of these things because life is too god damn short to bitch over such stupid shit.

I\'m all for supporting the site and any changes happening, especially with the main page and the blogesque route we\'re taking. It sounds like a blast and I\'d be happy to be a part of it.

Well said Evi. I even have started to forget what Uni said. He said something stupid. He deserved a raft of shit in the original thread but we need to let it go. It wasn\'t even worth making a big deal a second time around. As far as Raz\'s family brought into the fight, yes, that did deserve a big deal. But this constant fighting and bickering is just starting to drag out way too much now to the point I don\'t think anyone cares anymore except those involved. I still respect everyone and I\'ve never held grudges against Uni, Raz, politie, even Jumpman who makes fun of me every chance he gets. But we all have a right to say what we want unless it is deemed taboo by forum standards. And I know everyone\'s forum personalities so its not even worth holding a grudge.

We\'re a little family and we need to act it. WE ARE PSX2(3)CENTRAL. We need to run it and this is an amazing idea and I am stoked for it. I think we need to run PSX4Central, then PSX5Central and so on. You guys have seriously seen me grow up and I\'ve seen you guys all grow. It seems like yesterday Vid posted pictures of Logan. Vid, he\'s in elementary school now. It wasn\'t that long ago we were pimply faced adolescents talking about gaming. Now we post wedding pictures and pictures of our children. If that doesn\'t show how much of a family we are, then I don\'t know what is.

BTW, I have an idea for a blog to write so once we get this up and running, I\'ll be ready to write.

I had another idea just now regarding the forums. What if we did new forums but with the invisible forum that is only open to PSX2Central regulars, we keep it exactly set up like it is now. This way it feels as if it is more home and familiar to us than having just our own little forum for ourselves. This way we can post on the new forum with the new members and yet still have our own little world. I may be a bit insane and out there with this one but I want to see if anyone else likes this idea or not.

And I agree with one thing Joker said . This site has been around for a decade. People post here. It can\'t be that bad. I just think you\'re over shooting the mark, MM. It\'s a small community site and there is nothing wrong with that at all. Closing membership on the other hand, is wrong. You\'re forcing something to die a slow death when you give it zero chance for membership. Just upgrade the board. Re open membership and be done with it.

heard it all?  never went to psx3central.com and saw what happens?

sigh....at what point do i believe you are being stubborn, trolling or just stupid.

i told you repeatedly that membership is closed due to 80+ spambots attacking the site and it has been closed much longer than you realize.  i authorize every new membership based on IP address, email used, and username.  think \'Raz The Friggin Grea\' was allowed to post due to luck?  
this was all very time consuming, and i lost interest for a while.
im interested again, and you have little right to criticize this.

if one other person aside from me posts on the blog, it\'s a success since nothing exists now.

I agree. The main site has been down too long but if we do this right, get the right advertisements and everything, we can make this new site a success. Also, we are offering something that other PS3 sites aren\'t offering, a blog page with reviews and everything that is run by the members of the site. Its a new fresh idea that a lot of people could embrace.
