Speak for yourself. Most people are smarter than you. Being smarter than Palin? I am not so sure about that. Book smart and wise do not go hand in hand.
Powell\'s reasons are hollow and empty. They offer no real reason other than "I gotta say something before they link that I am supporting him based on race".
How predictable... i knew you would say that...i was being sarcastic because of the comment you made of Palin being smarter anybody on this forum....and i\'m not gonna entertain the smarter than you comment....i don\'t mind that some are smarter or more knowledgeable than me in some area\'s....but i have alot more common sense than most....and i\'ll take that over bein einstein any day.
Say what you will of Powell, the fact remains that he is a strong distinguished leader in the republican party and support for the democratic nominee is almost a slap in the face to McCain, but that is what happens when your campaign is giving a different message every week...now McCain is calling Obama a socialist...he doesn\'t have a clue,...next week he just might ditch his campaign and ask if he can be Obama\'s VP...he\'s all over the place with his message.
For the record, Al Sharpton was never on either major party\'s ticket, so your theory just flew out the window.
And?.....he still vollied for the top nominee spot...and the fact remains that even then he did not have the full support of blacks,..he had very little...i remember his numbers being like 8% or something....again as much as he fought for blacks you\'d expect him to have full support from the afri american community...he didn\'t, so your statement above is irrelevant.
