Timesplitters VS Unreal tournament
« on: January 03, 2001, 06:24:55 AM »
Hi guys,

I actually own SSX and DW2, 2 games that really kick ass
IMHO, and i\'m thinking about buying a FPS, but can\'t
decide between TS and UT?

Any idea?

You got the same problem as I do. They don\'t rent games here.

I own Timesplitters and can say that if you\'re searching for a good multiplayer action this game rocks! We played, like, ten hours this game in two days with my friend :)

Single-player is good too; quite hard; especially the challenge -mode :)

UT isn\'t that fast and I think TS has more replayability.

Go for TS. It has had many good reviews.

For the PS2? Definately Timesplitters. UT is a kick ass game but it loses some of its luster without the online capabilities.

I have played timesplitters and the framerate is awesome smooth all the way. I have played unreal on the pc and it rocked also. the only thing i dont like on timesplitters is the controls, you are given no option to change them whatsoever and i feel that in order to get decent accuracy then different controls are needed. I cant really say that much on unreal tournament because i have never played it on the ps2.

Do you like it more on the PS2 or PC? The only reason I ask is because the controls are very different.

UT is definatly better, I suggest you get a USB keyboard though!

I haven\'t played UT but I can tell you that Timesplitters kicks ass. The game zips and if you get a chance to play this thing with a surround sound system look out. It totally changes the whole experience.

Chalk up yet another vote for TS here, though I\'ll probably end up getting UT as well. Not to mention just about any other FPS that comes out for PS2...(I\'m kind of a junkie when it comes to these games.:D)
