How do you have your videogame systems set up?
« on: January 05, 2001, 10:42:10 PM »
i have my DC and my PS2 hooked up to a 29 inch RCA floor model TV...my DC sits in one of those videogame holder things with the two drawers next to the TV...one holds my dc games and the other holds my ps2 games. My PS2 stands vertical on top of the TV...next to the PS2 is the VCR and the Cable box...i plug the 3 colored wires into the VCR and into the TV when i wanna watch DVD\'s...i just find it to be a pain in the ass when i have to switch the wires back and forth when ever i want to play the other system...anyway i am interested to hear how all of you have your systems set up!...thanks!

I have two, old, long fake wood drawers that used to hold my clothing in which my game sytems lie. (the clothes are int he closet in)

It goes like this

Saturn, Dreamcast, 19inch 1992 Trinitron (help, color is very bloody!!!), SegaCDX, Sega Genesis2 with 32X on top, Master System, Jaguar, PSX, PC Engine Duo R, Turbo Grafx 16, .

ontop of the TV lie a gamegear, gameboy (1989 original :)), Lynx, and NGPC.

Most of my games lie in the first drawer down on the left, The extra systems or MIB/NIB systems lie in the bottom drawer on the left. The top drawer on the right houses my movies, CD\'s, tapes, records, and comic books. The bottom drawer on the right are the games I am currently playing for each system.

I have DC and PS2 hooked up through svideo to the reciever and the reciever hooked up through svideo to the 32" Zenith Inteq tv\'s video1.  I have SS, PS, and a vcr hooked up through composite to the reciever with composite to the tv\'s video2.  I also have the optical out of the PS2 hooked up to the reciever and my dvd player is hooked up to the reciever with a coaxial digital cable.  The dvd player is then hooked up to the tv with component cables.  The dvd player, vcr, and reciever all sit underneath the tv on shelves.  The PS2, DC, PS, and SS all sit on my coffee table along with the games in a cd spinner so I don\'t have to get up from the couch.  With this setup I don\'t ever have to get up to switch systems or get a game, I guess I\'m a little lazy.:)

Wow, quite a collection you got there, you must have a huge game library.
For me, it\'s just quite simple; My PS2 on top of an ooold VHS hooked up with the included RGB cable which is plugged to a Scart adapter to the back of my 25" TV. No other consoles, no fancy audio systems.:D

Those arent all of them, not close. I keep others in their boxes so as not to be ruined. Others, like my 3DO, CD-I, Atari\'s, etc. are in the lower drawer because I dont have many games for them to play. I may hook them up every once in a while, al la Killing Time on 3DO a coule weeks aago, but they go back in their very quickly. Also, doubles of my systems have no need to be on top of the drawers, my japanese and brazilian systems for the most part are in the drawer. I need to get a digital camera to show all you guys, pimp my stuff. :) I have two arcade machines too, Punch Out and Donkey Kong. I used to have another, but I sold it in times of dire need of money!

PS2 in my dorm room hooked up to my roomate\'s 50 inch projection tv w/ Monster S-Video, audio is a crappy RCA optical cable to his Technics surround decoder/reciever(err whatever not an audio expert here...i leave that stuff up to my room mate), PS1 is just hooked straight to the tv both audio and video.  Man...all I need now is my friend\'s DC, and Shenmue on it...sob sob....

Lets see I have my ps2 hooked up to a 36 inch wega through the component video inputs. The audio is hooked up to a sony vision touch reciever (dolby pro logic not digital :(..yet) I keep my ps2 in underneath the tv in the stand which has 2 front shelves with glass doors and 2 side shelves with mesh metal doors. I keep everything as concealed as possible except for the actual ps2. I also have a sony 6 speaker surround system (including sub)

PS2 has replaced my Panasonic dvd player and is hooked up via optical audio and component video to my home theatre. 52 inch Phillips Magnavox, Technics reciever with Dolby and DTS and JBL speakers all around except the center channel which is a Bose. Upstairs I set up an entertainment area for my son consisting of the Dreamcast, N64, Genesis, NES and PS1. He usually plays with the N64 or Gameboy color.

I got an entertainment center that holds all my games. Then a 25inch Philips TV, that has the PS2 RF cable going to it, and then going to that is the DC RF.

Then my other TV across the room has the 3D0 hooked to it and the Jaguar hooked to the 3D0 cable.

Ok, I have a set of dressers and a desk that goes around 80% of my room. On 2 of the dressers are my systems and my 25" RCA TV. Here is my setup in detail:

On my TALL Dresser I have a 17" Monitor that is reserved JUST for my Dreamcast. I am running it through a NAKI VGA Box. If a game isn\'t VGA Compatible, i have a swith on the box that lets me run it through my TV. My Dreamcast is right next to the Monitor. To the right of the TALL dresser is a lower dresser with my PS2 and my PS1 on it. I have the PS2 standing vertical. Both of these systems are hooked into my A/V Switchbox. I have the Video out from the Switchbox hooked into my VCR and I have it also conveniently hooked up to my nearby PC to take Screen Captures. All audio is running through a $700 Sony Stereo. I am going to purchase a Dolby Reciever soon. Anyway, next to the PS1/PS2 dresser is another dresser with the TV on it. Next to the TV I have my dusty old N64 and my SNES and my Unhooked Genesis. Then next to the TV Dresser is my PC which like I said earlier, is hooked up to EVERYTHING in my room Audio/Video. As for my game library, i use a 4 foot high bookshelf with about 300 games in it rangeing from SNES-PS2.

All I need is a friggin Surround Sound system. Anyone know where I can get a really good deal on one???

We look at a huge entertainment system...as you walk into my room. In the middle is my 36" Sony Wega...you then have on the left my DC, PSOne, PS2, and N64. Everything is hooked up through S-Video Channel switchers ($125) which then carries us to the right side of the entertainment system witha Sony 550 watts stero (dobly digital, 5.1, and a decoder) ($999), we then have on top of that my 101 CD disc changer made by Sony. Down below on this same side is a couple of drawers which the top one holds my 64 games, PS2 games, and DC games (my PSOne are on the CD rack...not enough room in the drawer). We then have on top of the tv, is a little shelf which holds my Satelite Cable, VCR, and then DVD player...we then go on to the roof and have 2 Bose (I know, not the greatest!) on a shelf right next to my bed, and 3 Sherwin Vega\'s on the floor (just shelf speakers, not HUGE), and then a 12" Sony Hub, sitting on the floor below my TV...

Whew...that\'s it, or so I think...

Ive got my Ps2 and Dreamcast hooked up to a 68cm Sony Tv with a Pelican Svideo selector.

With my N64 hooked up to a Nec Tv which is the same size.

And my Psx on a old RFU tv.

I met him 15 years ago, I was told there was nothing left, no reason, no concious, no understanding and even the most rudamentory sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong, I met this 6 year old child with this blang pale emotionless face and, the blackest eyes, the devils eyes, I spent 8 years trying to reach him, and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realised what was living behind that boys eyes was purly and simply evil.
