Oh and if you\'ve ever seen the game actually in motion it is totally amazing graphically.  Although I\'ve only seen  the male character running across the worldmap, it was by far the best graphics I\'ve seen on a PS2.  The world was just massive with no draw-in or even fogging whatsoever, with massive cliff walls and what looked to be a big canyon the character stood next to.  
    The whole time the characters loose bit of clothing and hair blew in the wind incredibly accurately and realistic.  Oh and yes the world map is in full 3D.

Anyone else seen this video?  It was shown nearly a year ago to a private audience in January 2000 and someone had a hidden video camera.  The bootleg got on the internet and it was amazing.  And to think that was a year ago.  I wonder how much improved the game looks now.

Anyway FF X will hopefully be a great game and a great FF.  I actually enjoyed FF8 a lot and so did millions others so I don\'t mind if it comes out like it.  Just hopefully with a stronger story.  I think the Ultimecia thing was stupid in FF8.  Other then the somehwhat weak storyline FF8 was a ton of fun to me.  I just hopw FF X will be great in both catagories though.  I\'m rambling...I\'ll stop now

I\'ve seen it, thopugh the res was a bit on the low side, but I also remember reading somewhere that the backgrounds were done with fmv or sumthin, either way the game is sure to become great both graphics and gameplaywise. phew

FFX is gonna be nice I can\'t wait!!!!

what the- I love FF and all but, seriously for the us versions they have GOT to change these stupid names. I Mean, Squall may mean something, but in japanese, cuz now it sounds like a parrot screaming for help!

The pics are great looking, and aren\'t all the backgrounds suppost to be done in real-time, instead of being pre-rendered

You can probaply change the names by yourself like in the previous FF\'s. It\'s the best choice...

Squall Sounds too naked.Squall LeonHeart sounds cooollll!!!Cloud is worse IMO.It definitely has a meaning in English.

I have read that while Square will incorporate a lot of FMV into the game it is only for really major scenes or stuff like that.  The game itself is all in an actual 3d-world.  Except this time the FMV will stream into the go so seamlessly you won\'t even be able to tell that it has started unlike the FFs on PSX where there was a slight delay.  Sure the FMV graphics will be better but supposedly Squaresoft spokae about how it seems much more like it is in-game then just a background running a video with your character running around in front of it.  Remember that is only for like major scenes though.  

I don\'t care though.  I thought it was so cool when the video was going in the game and you could control your character on screen.  It was almost like...just sit back and be amazed at your FF game when that happened.  My personal favorite is running across that battlefield in FF8 while that amazing FMV was going.  Wholly crap that was way cool.  I don\'t know why people complain about FMV not being cool.  They must not know what coolness they\'re missing.  Woops I went off on another Tangent...I\'ll stop again

FF8 didn\'t leave my mouth open in amazement. Well, actually it did. But it wasn\'t positive amazement. Sucky.

It\'s ironic then that Square was the original copycat, taking heed from Enix\'s Dragon Quest.

FFX looks to be a corker once again. If it only could have the same impact as FFVII in its time (highly improbable). I\'m really looking forward to this game. And hoping it ain\'t another FF8... the realistic characters freak me out...

I prefer the cartoony characters to, those ff8 characters where nice, but ff7 has way outdone those, to me ff8 was a disappointment too.

Like I said, FF X wil be more fantasy based then the sci-fi fantasy based look.  It has been stated by Squaresoft.  And no, it is definately not a sequal to FF8.  Square would never do that to their Final Fantasy series.  Except of course in their movie.  The sequal will include the main character of the original as the star.  But that\'s the movies.  People wouldn\'t get it if they brought out a whole new cast and the story didn\'t build off the last movie\'s story.

all i hope is that square actually does something innovative with the gameplay style, like grandia 2. If it\'s the same **** as ff7 and ff8 with better graphics and differnt story, than no thank you.  

On a side note aquare has the potiential to make alot better rpg\'s.

I can\'t wait to see what FFX will look like... IT WILL BE INSANE!
