hmm, the thing that I most want to say about this, unfortunately, is "Hey, surfer dude, hang loose!"

plaese, Square, I am begging you, do not make the main character or even sub characters or plot to focus around surfing!!

No surfing but the story or homeland of the main characters is based in a Tropical setting. There is supposedly some underwater game they play but I forgot the name they are calling it

I wonder how many polygons the Chocobo\'s will be made of ????

Those subtitles lead me to believe that the game will not have live spoken audio. I am distraught and dissapointed

with the budget square has you can be sure the voice will be good... at least I hope so

It will have voice-acting but I think you can turn the subtitles off...

So far I\'m unimpressed.
I hope its not another final fantasy debacle like FF8.

Well that main character looks so damn gay it makes me laugh and the chick is just rinoa all over again. I guess when you release such a massive crappy RPG once a year you have to start to recycle some stuff to get them out.

While I don\'t love the character designs, I felt the same about way about the designs for FF9 before I played it so I\'ll give them a chance. If some of those are in game, the graphics are quite impresive. It looks to be going into a new direction at least which I\'m happy about. The similarities to FF8 do make me nervouse though. We\'ll just have to wait and see though. One piece of advice, you\'ll enjoy it more if you don\'t get caught in the hype.
