That is so obviously another attempt by MS to fool us with fake screenshots.
It\'s pretty clear that the cat was rendered with X-BOX hardware and that the background is completely prerendered, probably using some photoshop filters too. Do they actually think that we\'ll believe that the X-box is going to be rendering backgrounds of that caliber and at that insanely high resolution!? I take offense at Microsoft insulting my intelligence in such a manner.

the diffrence between Geatway is that those where production shots that the Media hyped.

The X box ones where a laughable attempt to make the MS console look "sexy" (OMG i feal sick now for saying that).

Of course the media are going to hype the Getaway, since Sony led everyone to believe they were INGAME shots! It wasn\'t until September last year (4 months after the original screenshots), that the truth was revealed, because the new screenshots were FAR from the quality seen in the originals.

Really? Amped was the worse looking game at Gamestock. The REAL screenshots of Halo, Munch\'s Oddysee and others looked FAR better than the \'fake\' Amped screenshots. Hence MS had NOTHING to gain here, since Halo and Munch demonstrated the quality of the XBox far more than Amped.

Also, Amped was playable (unlike the Getaway), therefore if this was a deliberate attempt to decieve, MS would have NEVER allowed anyone to play Amped at Gamestock.

but then again Microsoft where hit by the rigged photo scandal, they where the one who did it, and not the media.

Fools? Hmmm...and yet whenever this topic use to  appear in forums such as this, myself and others were constantly attacked by huge numbers of PS2 fanboys for daring to suggest those screenshots were pre-rendered. Exactly the same happened to me with discussions over the early Munch\'s Oddysee screenshots and movies!

Of course, once it was proved that the screenshots were rendered, such arguements ended.

Yes it is obvious today that those early screenshots were rendered, but at the time, no matter how good your arguements were, you would have been in the minority (I still have the scars to prove it ).

Anyway, you\'re right, this discussion is a bit silly. Only, I don\'t see what is so scandalous over the Amped screenshots given that the game WAS on public display (unlike the Getaway).
