Why is it that before we saw Xbox\'s graphics superiority, the PS2 faithful always debated with the DC faithful about how better graphically the PS2 was (and is) than the DC, and how important graphics were. Now, graphics=fluff. Double standards, eh mate?

No i think he was just saying that that link is just EYE CANDY with no Gamplay what so ever.

I am like MM and never impressed by JUST EYE CANDY ALONE !
 
Sorry but i don\'t even see anything mind blowing with the movie what so ever.

I just don\'t agree at all! Yeah there\'s no gameplay but thats not what were talking about here.  

IMHO those graphics beat anything shown on the PS2 thus far.... yes even FFX.  While FFX is very impressive the detail that is in that thing is above beyond anything I\'ve ever seen on the PS2.

That is good, however it doesn\'t blow me away.  If you look, there\'s little background, and little action.  Go watch the FFX movies from the same.   Those look almost (yeah, almost, I admit it) as good, but they have 5 chars on the screen, complicated backdrops, and summoning/fighting/spells going all over the place.

I wish we could all just wait for the XBOX to actually come out, before we debate which games/systems are better.  After all, we don\'t know what the XBOX will end up with.  Could be better than we ever dreamed, or worse than everyone expects.

I was not impressed by that at all.

*YAWN* Doesn\'t surprise me at all...after all it\'s not running on PS2 hardware is it?  You\'re one of the biggest PS2 fanboys I\'ve ever seen.  Xbox could display Toy Story in real-time with 1 million light-sources and you would chime in the old familiar line, "I was not impressed by that at all."

I wonder what your response would be if this was a PS2 demo?  The facts are that the demo wasn\'t used to show the polygon pushing power of the GeForce3/Xbox, but was an "effects-specific" demonstration that showed what effects the Xbox could do.  That being said, I think the demo looked awesome.

It is a great demo but it is only a tech demo and a PC one at that.

one detailed model (alone) surrounded by nothing is impressive? *yawn* Fill the screen with those and some enviroment running @ 60fps and then I\'ll be impressed. Are you people that easily amused? I\'ve seen stuff on x-box that has impressed me, but this \'tech demo\' sure as hell didn\'t.

Well, then I\'m a BIG XBOX FANBOY.  Number one, that was a GeForce3 demo.  Number two, Xbox is more powerful than the GeForce3.  Number three, and most importantly, WHY IN THE HELL WOULD MICROSOFT SHOW THE INEVITABLE DEMO DURING AN XBOX DEMONSTRATION IF XBOX COULDN\'T DO THAT LEVEL OF GRAPHICS?  What are you people blind?  I stated that this was a TECHNOLOGY DEMO.  The effects you saw in that demo are effects possible with the XGPU.  You guys act like it\'s impossible for a system finished in 2001 to be better than a system finished in 1999!  Get over it!  The PS2 chipset is two years older than the Xbox chipset (XGPU and MCPX)!  Is it so hard to believe that Xbox is better in all areas than the PS2?  I can\'t believe that you fanboys are so blind that you don\'t think that a two year old chipset can be out done by one coming out this year!  Big deal!  Get over it!  Geez, fanboys make my head hurt.  

Just because I say that the TECH DEMO looked impressive, doesn\'t mean I\'m a fanboy...it just means I\'m honest.
