Hmm..

Compare TTT to DoA3. (cuz TTT looks better than DoA2 IMO)

Not a huge leap if you ask me.
When DoA3 is out TTT is almost 2 years old.

Cant wait for E3! I hope Namco will show us Tekken 4 :)

DoA2 and DoA3 almost look the same.
But DoA3 has better looking backgrounds. :)

VF4 is still the best looking fighter IMO!
And we havent even seen it running on PS2 hardware :D

I think Tekken 4 will blow every other fighter out of the water at E3!

Both in graphics and gameplay :)

I rememberd when I first saw Tekken 3! I thought it looked amazing, and I still do :)

Perhaps Tekken 4 will have the same impact :)

And just like Hawk, I also hate DoA gamez. ;)

Unicron: I sure hope they show T4!

They gotta show something cuz they are loosing money :(
They are in economical problems.
I got a feeling Sony is helping them develop the new games :)

Hey everyone is entitled to their opinion. (How many times have I said that?) .. IMO DOA3 is not that impressive. It doesn\'t look bad @ all... but I did expect more. Perhaps I\'m just used to seeing great graphics as of late and nothing really blows me away. I also think VF4 looks better than DOA3. Not in shots, but after seeing both of them in motion (in a movie of course).

- what\'s in the f\'cking box?

(for the record, when I played MGS2 I wasn\'t blown away like I thought I would be.)

All those screens look sweet.

Waves shot = Drool !
I met him 15 years ago, I was told there was nothing left, no reason, no concious, no understanding and even the most rudamentory sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong, I met this 6 year old child with this blang pale emotionless face and, the blackest eyes, the devils eyes, I spent 8 years trying to reach him, and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realised what was living behind that boys eyes was purly and simply evil.

Oh, I see.  It was just a little misunderstanding on both our parts. :)  This E3 is when the real goods will be shown by both Sony and Microsoft, so we should wait until then before comparing these kinds of things.

If Sony creates a Performance Analyzer for the PS2 that number might change into a 20-35%.

A Performance Analyzer is very important if developers want to know how much from the console\'s capabilities they use.
Gran Turismo was one of the games that used it.And we al know the results.

BTW 93%??Thats BS.

Here we go again. Ced, I don\'t get it - you fully support 989 1000% for years. Last fall, you see what truly TERRIBLE products the 989 sports series turned out to be on the PS2, and you then immediately state you are in love with "beautiful football" with Madden. Now you are back touting 989 again???
Why would you possibly think that Sony will be THAT MUCH better for 2K2 series? Why??? I look at your "poll" about these so-called "features" of PS2 football games. You\'ve gotta be KIDDING ME! Ability to change facemask & chin strap color? Switch broadcasting teams? Players conversing with each other in complete sentences??? National online tournaments & rankings??

Where do you live, Ced, fantasyland??? How in the world will 989 improve their game to the level you expect, AND add all the ridiculous eye-candy you ask for??? Look, I work in this field, and I constantly cruise fan sites for user reactions. I\'m a programmer for a nationally-renowed game company in their sports game division (can\'t say which one, of course, but we\'ve already had success on the PS2) and I KNOW the kind of work (pain more likely!) it would take to make all these features you dream about and still have respectible game play.

Ced, I admire your passion for football games, and I\'ve been observing this site for a few years now, although I\'ve never posted a message. It\'s a great thing, video football, and I\'m blessed to be part of the business. However, I think that this is what\'s wrong with videogame fan websites in general - you pump up and pump up, over and over, next year\'s games, and you set unrealistic expectations because you don\'t understand the logistics of programming. Trust me, we are no where near the level you are expecting with the PS2, and judging on 989\'s efforts (re: lazy programming - trust me on that), you are headed for major diappointment - again. I also wouldn\'t get too excited about online play, either, unless Sony pulls an absolute miracle. Let me tell you, we as a team are all still envious what VC was able to accomplish on low bandwidth with their 2K series on the DC. You have no idea how difficult that is, especially with a 56K connection (ALL with less-than-ideal connections, too).

Look Ced, and I tell you this from the heart - The PS2 is, by far, the toughest platform we\'ve ever had to deal with, and I would guess we spent at least 4X as much energy and time in our first release last fall, and even though we had the PS2 kits for nearly 18 months our entire team was nearly tapped out.

One more thing - wait until you see what we CAN do with an Xbox! Talk about easy. What a dream of a rig to program for. I hope we can show the world what we\'ve done so far with this thing, and I hope we can "show off" at E3. You won\'t believe it. You know the footage of Fever the big M is showing? That\'s nothing compared to what we already have. And we\'re still not working with 100% hardware power (not until end of May)!

It\'s not so much the graphics, memory, processor and general archatecture that\'s great about it, it\'s also the EASE in what we accomplish that makes it an amazing setup. It\'s scary what that machine is capable of. The programming world is absolutely ABUZZ about it\'s future, and if you check out some of the popular programmer newsgroups you\'d see that the XBox is our hero right now.

I know you will probably doubt what I\'ve told you, and I\'ll remain anonymous for obvious reasons. All I can say is, please, don\'t set yourself up for such a fall. I can easily say there is NO WAY, absolutely NO CHANCE, that you will see any more than 2-3 features you pine for next fall. My advice? Just try to enjoy the Madden series for now, then next fall when these brand new games actually are final-coded and burned (which we just heard WILL include the Sega Sports line for the Xbo, then decide which one is best.

This was from a developer on a forum,I dont have the link.

Yeah its the real proof:rolleyes:

You are a dumbass, and Xbox can push 130 frames per second, and that is something that PS2 can not even touch. 60fps Vs. 130fps. Personally i think that DOA3 will look its best on Xbox, and no other console.
R.I.P SNK.
