How to handle the VOTE OVER
« on: May 03, 2001, 02:27:46 PM »
Well  I\'m sure some of you think I sabotaged the polls because of my verbal dis agreement with some of the popular choicews

But I proimise you it wasn\'t me. I can be a prick but I\'m not a shallow prick

We need to either re-set up the polls or find a different means of determining the names

SO before I re-post polls How do you guys want to handle this

I thought the poll vote down would be a fun / fair way to get everyone involved, but I never really asked everyone how they felt about it.

I still would like to do the vote down

5 polls 10 names each

the top 2 of each poll goto a semi-final poll

with the top 2 names from the semi-final battling it out for the final name

Let me know

Thanks,

Well, that format was ok, but I think soulgrind offered to put all 50 into one poll for ya.. that would be cool.  Then take the top 10 to the next poll.

Also, the first 4 polls dissapeared at 3:50 am (eastern) this morning, and you weren\'t on... as I recall, only MM was on then....  The last one just dissapeared now.

well what ever is clever,  since all the names are probably forgotten, cause im sure you cnt rememebr them all, we will have 2 make a post the clan name thread again, then we give it 3 days, then we mek the polls, etc.

i know it wasn\'t you ddaryl :)

Are you insane! I love her character, she stays.

Yeah, but you say a lot of things..
and how does that work....  You\'re a bicycle..

If possible, putting the 50 out there in one thread would be good.

If not, maybe we could try to remember some of the most popular ones, hopefully without getting a 500,000 post thread re-hashing everyone\'s suggestions.

Either way, it ain\'t gonna be easy!  :D

Nope I have all the names on an Excel Spreadsheet on my computer

I prefer the 5 sepreate polls cause it allows everyone to vote for more then one in the early stages and gives us more variety

but even so, the polls only allow 10 choices

Just suck up dd and stop wasting time.  The name is gonna be PSX2Central Elite so you might as well officially announce it now.

Afraid of what?  What the hell are you talking about?  All I\'m saying is that I vividly remember the results of the polls before they disappeared and Elite had many more votes than any other poll winning name submission and it was obvious to me this would be the eventual winner.

You didn\'t see that?  I know you don\'t like that name but it\'s a good name, simple, concise and powerful... and it will continue to be so for years, unlike some of the other dorky ass names that were submitted, yours included.

How do you know when the final votes get down to 1 poll that half of the people who voted for Elite won\'t vote or prefer one of the other favorites from the other polls

Yeah I saw elite, but it was going up against alot of lame names some of the other polls has voteds equally distributed

It will probably win, I hope not but it probably will

I\'m just attacking your confidence that this name should be the one without a vote. Thats just not fair to the rest of us who would like an opportunity to pick a different one

i have an idea

give it a name

if someone doesnt like, dont join it

this is all hypothetical anyways, as how many games will really support more than 4 at a time?

Are you quoting me because you know it\'s one of my peeves or what?  Really dude, I have no need to read what I posted twice before seeing your response....

Anyway, I\'m just picking on you about the names.

No I prefer the quote system cause it eliminates any possible confusion on who and what your replying to

It  also eliminates the possibility of someone sneaking in between your posts

I\'ve been in many threads were I just  get confused on who is replying to who and quote system makes it a more enjoyable read for me

As for the names I really just want the entire mebership to decide in a fair fun manner. Figured the polls would work
