As far as coverage goes I think you feel more like you have more control of your db\'s in madden.  And I have to say the running in espn is much more versitle.(IMO) The guys don\'t cutback like they do in espn.

This years madden felt a lot like last years madden to me. I won\'t purchase it anytime soon. My friend has it and we it through beating it up I will take his copy. Save the owner mode how can you pick madden over espn? Maybe I just have to buckle down and just put hours and hours into the game. Because people sware by madden. I just don\'t see it.

with you all the way on this one..i seen both espn & madden at eb\'s a week ago when i purchased the harddrive for the ps2 (damn espn\'s halftime show & postgame is off the hook now!) and i\'ve played madden and i\'m sorry madden have made some improvements on the defensive side of things,..but for the most part..nothing has changed since 2002 seriously...the running in espn this year is more realistic...tackling animations,..defenders talk s**t to qb\'s after the sack...i just don\'t see how some still say espn ins\'t there yet..WHAT? give me a break..espn has made real improvements over madden since 2004

the only part madden reigns is the owner mode..which i could care less about,..madden still has the same physics since 2002, tho i have seen a couple of new tackling animations,..it\'s gameplay imo is still 2nd to espn....i played both games and to me espn is clearly better...

I feel you clips. Espn clearly has the better tackling animations. I remember when i first got madden 2004 the owner mode was sick. And I was hooked but the minute I tried espn 2004 I felt like the game felt so much more real. Hard hitting. I can\'t tell you how many fumble\'s I have created hitting the shit out of qb\'s with kerse. I just don\'t see how guys are so strong out on madden.

Sweet you got the hdd. I played espn at my friends without the hdd I was shock how different the game feels to me. I was used to all the player animations and highlights.

have been playing Madden 2005, and it\'s a great game.  My absolute favorite moment was playing against the Giants.  It was a close game and they were trying to make a comeback with 2 minutes left, then Eli threw a pic and I returned it for a TD.  The camera then showed the Giants fans getting out of their seats and leaving....beautiful

wow this was an intense thread..:D...i will miss 2k5 no doubt..:(...i\'ve already started updating the rosters as best i could in espn 2k5...yes..even tho the game is two years old, it\'s strong gameplay and visuals still outdo what madden is bringing to the table.....i agree 100% with what this person wrote to ign...it\'s in the mailbag of ign but it\'s the letter regarding fluffy football.

http://ps2.ign.com/mail/

anyway i won\'t be buying madden until it\'s presentation and gameplay surpass espn 2k5\'s and judging from the lackluster 360 version,..espn 2k5 is even better than that...meh i don\'t want to start kickin\' dirt on madden, it\'s just amazing how i can put that game in and still be impressed with it\'s overall presentation and gameplay....i really just wanted to ask is everybody ready to fire up their games again, whether it\'s madden or espn...i know that at least with me when the football season is over i won\'t touch espn until preseason starts...:D....let the trash-talkin start....dallas in the superbowl..nuff said!..:fro:...

yesss.lets get ready for some FOOTBALL!.

broncos need to get chris brown to make me a little confident. But they always do manage to have a good running attack so they should be fine. See, as a cowboy fan, you have the luxury of having a shitty conference :D. AFC has the chiefs, broncos, colts, steelers, bengals, and patriots. NFC just has...the seahawks? falcons and panthers maybe? redskins just have a bunch of names, no chemistry. Id worry about ur cowboys next season though. TO is only not a punk bitch the first season. After that bledsoe better retire before hes in the media 24/7

Speaking of the chiefs..holy sheit. Ty law, surtain, bell, johnson, allen on defense (which has been their downside), add that with the offense.. edit: i guess willie roaf retired..and they did lose richardson..GO BRONCOS!

and i wont be buying madden on ps2. not sure if it was madden 06 or my ps2, but it was feezing every single play. Besides, after playing on the 360, i dont want to pay 50 bucks for a ps2 game. Im going to have madden on 360 for a monthish till my brother moves. Honestly, madden 07 on 360 looks awesome. A video i saw had the rookie combine, i think training camp is back, challenging is probably back. Madden 06 on 360 didnt really count..just tried to get it out for the next gen console since theyd obviously get a bunch of sales no matter what.
