^^^only reason for that will be because madden fans are like sheep...i used to be one of them until i finally gave espn a chance last year..i\'m hooked on it..i\'m never goin\' back to madden..madden probably was better with the extra stuff.. prices, ownership etc..,but i just loved espn gameplay..imo it plays more realistcally than madden..

ESPN was easily my favorite football game last year. You can read some of my old posts from last year and see how much I liked it. This new version looks and sounds incredible. The online league portion ALONE makes it worth the purchase.

I personally felt that ESPN looked and played a lot more realistically than Madden. Madden was almost cartoony in comparison. Still, I can\'t knock Madden because you can be sure that I will definately have that too.

ESPN didn\'t sell nearly as many copies as Madden did but it still did incredibly well. Maybe it would help if ESPN itself would promote its own game as opposed to the competition\'s.

but thierin lies the problem..espn & monday night football are by the same companies & we all know who\'s on monday night football right? i\'ve noticed alot last year that on espn chris berman would sometimes talk to madden about a game he was covering,..so i don\'t think that\'s the main reason but it might be a part of it..what is that saying "conflict of interest?" maybe that\'s what i\'m tryin\' to say...

The graphics do look good, and theres a movie in there with TO where the animation looks pretty good (near the end it got unrealistic). My only problem is the pants kind of look painted from the front, and the shirts are too detailed. You cant see every whole on the jersey in real life, but thats just my view.

Im one of the sheep so ill be getting Madden 05. I think if i wasnt in the psx2c league id rent this but mainly because of the league im sticking to madden.

I have set an open mind towards the Football games and every year I choose Madden.  This year, I think I will be jumping ship though.  I love the feel of the ESPN NFL series.  What makes me mad though is that Madden damn well knew about making playmaker available for defense last year but most likely chose to withhold that feature so they had something for this year or this year\'s theme (defensive focus).  It is going to be a real joy to start seeing these two compete at E3.

#1-2 in the link sound hot. I can\'t wait to play this.

BTW, I\'m glad that they varied the look of the cheerleaders.

While looks sweet when does it come out?

If it wasn\'t for espn I would not play football games anymore.
