Naw man I wanted all the features I could have in the game so I had to go with the xbox version.

But man the game is awesome. I love that you can customize your own music to any part of the game that you want to. That rocks. The tackling has gotten so much better. Best tackling system in any football game to date.

Man this game is so awesome.
I am currently going through franchise with the eagles and I just traded for jamal lewis.

ok, I just bought the game.  And it seems that the updated rosters ONLY work for online games.  I went online to specifically get the updated rosters and start my franchise.  And when downloading the roster update, it clearly says the downloaded roster only works for online games.

that is pretty gay if you ask me.

and if you have the HDD you can change the music in the ps2 version as you can in the xbox one, as the option is clearly there, just ghosted.

Yeah but my xbox came free with an hdd. And my ps2 doesn\'t. And I wanted the ps2 version but not having all the highlights and stuff turned me away. And I was not going to shell out 99.99 for the hdd just for this game.

I\'ll probably end up getting the ps2 version anyways just so i can kick some you guys asses.

Man pre game analysis. While post game analysis and interviews. Free agent signings and injury reports. The presentation in this game is so huge. I mean this has to be the most complete football game ever created.

Damn straight.

And Quddus, who\'d you trade for Jamal?  I\'m doing a franchise w/ the Eagles too.  I got rid of Thomas Tapeh and Mark Simoneau to pick up a fullback after Richie got injured (I put Jeremiah Trotter on the Eagles, to make the roster accurate before starting a franchise, so I\'m still good with my MLB position), but I\'m assuming neither of those guys were involved.

wow...i will not comment on madden yet as nobody here has played it yet...but concerning this statement here? i say you\'re damned if you do & damned if you don\'t...let me say this this as a long time gamer..i\'m talkin\' since the atari 2600 days...i\'ve watched these games evolve to what they are today..madden & espn are both solid titles...that said how many of us here have wanted that full experience? espn gave us primetime last year & a decent halftime show...who cares about seeing cheerleaders for a few seconds(madden) & then gettin back into the game?

those small cosmetic touches are what i love about espn...the post game show in espn this year is phenomenal & goes back to what i said earlier...that is what you see on television...damn when they go that extra mile to make that gaming experience more realized some still will criticize...lets just be happy that you have the option to skip it if you want,..but atleast it\'s in there...

That\'s what I\'m saying though.  It\'s a great feature, no question.  But after a while...it\'s the same old thing, that takes minutes to get through.  You do have the option to skip it, and that is nice for those who favor ESPN\'s gameplay, but the thing is, again, that this title\'s foundation for many people is not gameplay, but presentation.  And a large chunk of that \'presentation\' comes in the form of the halftime/postgame shows...both of which will wear their welcome sooner or later.

You see what I\'m saying?  It\'s all about longevity...staying power.  There are those who actually prefer ESPN\'s gameplay over Madden\'s ... to them, this game is spectacular.  But you have to understand that most people bought this game for 1:  It\'s price tag and 2: It\'s presentation.  And again, once gamers find the videos and chris berman and all that stuff grows repetitive, there will be many many people left with what they consider a lackluster game.

And Quddus, did you pick up anything else with Duce?  Though I myself would love to have him back in Eagles green, a straight up trade Jamal Lewis for Duce Staley is...wow.

^^^^yea i see what you\'re sayin\', but i\'m one of the few that prefers espn\'s gameplay over madden...;)  so for me the gameplay & presentation is what makes it superior to madden..imo of course...

Not me I bought this game for it\'s gameplay. I use to be a madden head and after I talked to clips I decided to play espn and have not put it down since. The running is far the best in any football game.  You actually have to fight for those extra yards in this game. The tackling is unbelievable in this game. You can hit a guy many different ways and the hits seem so real. Getting your guys ready for the next game was a nice touch.

This games has so many things that make it an awesome game. When madden hits I will give it a try because I am very excited to see what EA has done to try and match what sega has given us.

Ethan I did a strait up trade for duce. I am trying to get the colts to give me marvin right now and they are playing hardass with me.
