No its not.DC is doing better than the PS2 right now game sales wise.Its already been successful without DVD.GameCube will be the same way.You have nothong to back your case up.

Also,PS2 DVD featured has backfired on them.People are buying DVDs over games,meaning a loss of money for Sony.I think Sega and Nintendo made a smart move by not including DVD playback.

Jep.. in technical terms a simple mail client or messenger also falls under (Home)Office suites and if you had read the whitepapers on Packetstorm you should know that they already working on a PS2 browser and Messenger... a Presentation suite for E-Commerce. :-)

YESS u got it.. FOR GAMING. The system was MADE for gaming.. The USB ports were for Mice and Keyboard. But probley mostly for FPS type games.. RTS games.
The reason why PS2 will get the Internet addon and HD addon is for JUST GAMING.. To play gaming ONLINE. Not to do your Homework, researching etc. Even though u will probley be able. Sony wanted ONLINE gaming. Thats the WHOLE idea of the PS2 Eithernet.. Tell me.. Can u use your PC without a HD, Mouse and keyboard... I can use my PS2 without them.. So how is it a pc.. What because they have SOME ADDONS.. Come one man.
