Regent Webber and Oyuki were the only ones that could form some resemblence of a worthy technical discussion, Ryu occasionally puts up a challenge but is not worth of my precious time and effort. But alas this place has well and truly gone down the toilet since then, I guess I was responsible for driving them away, perhaps im my own worst enemy.

Calling the Snes a kiddy system has got to be the dumbest thing that ive ever heard in my life. Hold on, maybe your talking about the diff Snes system. the one they released in your little world of yours.

The Snes i know had some great RPGS. Final Fantasy Series, Breath of Fire Series, Illusion of Gaia Series, Lufia Series, Y\'s Series, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Earth Bound...DO YOU YOU WANT ME TO GO ON.

O you like fighting games. No problem: Take your pick from, Mortal kombat, Art of Fighting, Tons of Dragonball Z ,Fatal Fury, Street Fighter/Alpha and World Heros, Samauria showdown. Whoops those game all sound kiddy too.

And whats this crap about the Snes not having sports. Sweet jesus. Then Madden NFL 92\' - 97\' must have been imagined by me. NBA Live seires kicked butt, as did NBA Jam, NBA Hang time, NBA Allstar, and NBA Showdown. the Snes also had 4 NHL games released for it (havent played) Last but not least, Super punchout.

You wanted action, you got it: megaman X, Act Raiser, Metroid, Out of this World, Wolfenstin 3-D, Earth Earthworm Jim, Donkey Kong Country, Super mario World, Gradius, Final Fight Contra 3...

These are just a few that I can recall that were on the Snes. Many of these titles went to the playstation that made it the great system it was today. Think about that before you go labeling a system as kiddy.

What do you guys define "kiddy" as? Some people say Zelda:Oot/MM was kiddy because there was no blood or goriness, etc. Can you really say that you didn\'t enjoy them??? I\'ll admit that i hated Mario 64, but not because it was supposedly "kiddy". It was just boring (but let\'s not get into that). Now, how about Dark Cloud, is that kiddy??? The PSX had its share of "kiddy" games. Who cares if the characters look baby-ish or if there is no blood? It matters if you enjoy the game.

A few thngs. First, the SNEs was not kiddy. It had a slighly younger demographic than the Genesis but had a huge array of titles for all demographics and in all genres. Second, the Genesis is not a clear winner in the 16 bit generation. The SNES won the Japanese market, the Genesis got the early lead in America but the SNEs outsold it in terms of userbase by the end of its life. The genesis did clean up in Europe and other markets though. On the Gamecube\'s controler I think its great.  haven\'t held it so I can\'t make final judgment but it looks to me like a very well designed controler. Aside from FPS, which are ackward on any console, I can\'t think of one genre that it isn\'t good for. fighters have the D pad and a good selection of face and shoulder buttons, 3d paltformers would be a dream, RPGs work on any console. I\'m not sure aobut sports but thats because I don\'t play sports games, so I don\'t know how the controles work, but I can\'t see what advantage the Dual Shock would have over the Gamecube\'s for them. If you don\'t like the controler say why, maybe you can think of a genre that wouldn\'t work, I\'ll try and come up with a configuration that would work well.
