Before you XBox fanboys get all excited, it said Final Fantasy XI(Online) will be going multi-platform, Square has already stated during the E3 press conference with Sony that 10, 12, and 13 were all exclusive to the PS2, and will remain exlcusive to the PS2.

The reason for this is that it would take too much time and money to port Final Fantasy series to other consoles, and it would ruin it\'s meaning.

But the online version will be available everywhere

So if you want Final Fantasy the series you better purchase a PS2, becuz you want get it anywhere else.

Don\'t expect any other games from Square to go multiplatform because they only want to broaden their online community. games like FFX and other single player Square games will remain on PS2 only...

I\'m glad too, but as long as the other Final Fantasies are exclusive to the PS2 I am happy.  Which they are...........Square does remember that 200 Million bucks Sony gave them.

Also Big deal, SQUARE sucks, all there games are the same **** over and over, but if it help the system in japan, then I guess it\'s good.

Ok..ok Enlighten me because FFXI online is just FFXI with online play. They are not making tWo copies. DId you read the article? FFXI will be online and it is going to ps2 and multi-console. Expect FFXII,FFXIII to follow suit.

And who cares about any of squares other games. The online one that is any good is FF.

blah, blah, blah.

You wanna know what is the TRUTH? I would be willing to bet if Final Fantasy sells more copies or as many on X-Box as it does on PS2, than Square will jump ship quicker that you can say "rehashed game part 12!"

Nothing is confirmed until it happens.

The same theory applies to GameCube as well. When Square finally realizes what being a 3rd party is all about then they\'ll start and continue to make games for ALL systems. If FFXI sells well on Xbox and NGC, then you can bet your faulty PS2, they will continue making FF on others platforms.

EDIT: I hope that idiot Yamauchi retires soon or else Nintendo fans won\'t see that version... ;)

Thats wishful thinking as long as yamauchi president of nintendo you won\'t be seeing square on a nintendo system anytime soon.  Square made it this far without developing for other system and I don\'t think there going to stop now.

Look, FFXI went multiplaform because it is ONLINE and it needs as many users as possible. That much is clear. MOST IMPORTANTLY -They will also need enough people to join because they don\'t know if enough console gamers are willing to pay a monthly fee to play an online RPG.

Now I see you still doing it even though you know I put you on ignore. *sigh* Trying to take advantage of me when I\'m not listening? Just leave me alone. You are not worth my time.
