Jumpman about your signature....you should have it phrase  "You\'ll see a Bad Zelda game before you see a Microsoft OS w/out too many bugs..."

Compared to the N64 launch the GameCube launch is shaping up to be stellar.  The XBox launch is a little shaky...Halo, and Amped aren\'t necessarily household names if you get my drift.

I think GAMECUBE has more of what I want.I loved Zelda and we will probobaly see it next month at the Spaceworld Show!We\'ll also see MARIO in his whole new adventure!Luigi\'s Mansion looks fun so I will be getting that, and that about all I can afford.
Man.. if BookerT lit a fart during a Spinner-oony.. it truely would be the most electrifying move ever..

The GC lineup looks too boring.

Most of the games are N64 games with the system\'s limitations in mind.  You can see it clearly when you compare a Starfox shot with Luigi.  I am sick of all these stupid ports.  Then we have the countless sequels.  Where are the different, new, innovative softwares?  I am sorry, but the lineup is boring!  At least the Xbox has a couple of different games that will bring some new experiences.

Christ man, weren\'t you told already that every single game moved (I don\'t see how you can call them ports when they were never released on any console) from the N64 was re-coded from the ground-up?? Why would they have to consider N64\'s limitations when they\'re working with completely new hardware??

I\'m not hyperventilating about the launch myself, but... what in blazes are you talking about?? Have you ever played a Luigi game before?? Or how about anything like Pikmin?? Aside from the incessant sports titles, pretty much most of the games on launch are "new."

That\'s exactly what I\'ve been telling him.

I am trying to get excited about Pikmin (I love the Miyamoto is taking on the Console RTS issues but those graphics are so far away from who I am) and will buy a GCN at or near launch for it.  Beyond that I am interested in RL and... waiting for Mario :)

Jumpman - I mispoke about Panzer Dragoon. GUNVALKYRIE, a game I was highly interested in for Dreamcast is coming out launch, while Jet Set Radio IS coming out a couple weeks after. Panzer Dragoon has no solid release date.

Here is a link and a quote.

Quote
IGNDC: Both titles, GUNVALKRYIE and Jet Set Radio Future, will be definitely be out on schedule?

TK: Yes, GUNVALKRYIE is an Xbox launch title, while Jet Set Radio Future will be released a few weeks after the Xbox launch.

IGNDC: So, how is Panzer Dragoon coming along?

TK: (laughs) Just wait for TGS 2001 this fall, and you\'ll see something really special.

you were half right, through my own mistaken memory, but please research before telling me about Sega games, I think I would know :)

Think? You either know it or you don\'t, and this time you didn\'t know. I wasn\'t half right, I was completely right.

Xbox release list.

http://xbox.ign.com/releases.html

I could of sworn I just saw JSF listed as a Jan 15 release along with NBA2k2.

And there\'s more! After just looking at that, it seems that Gunwhatever is NOT coming out at launch. Dec 12, 2001 is it\'s solid release date.

Uh oh! Eric made a boo boo!

Take a look at the pics of Waverace, Eternal, Starfox, etc.  Now compare those games to Luigi or any other game first concepted on the GC.  Don\'t they look like crap?!!!!!  These games are not built from the ground up using the GC\'s hardware.  They were first conceptualised on the N64 and thus continued on the GC.  Basically you are getting an N64 upgrade.  These games, when compared to gems like Rogue Squadron and Luigi, are sh*tty.

What about the other games?  All i see are sequels, and more sequels.  Aside from Odd world, DOA, and Panzer Dragoon, everything on the Xbox is not derived from a prior game.

And Jet Set Future is NOT coming out 2 weeks after the launch. It\'s coming out Jan 15, 2002, the same day that NBA2K2 is coming out.

Get your facts straight.

As for the topic: I can\'t complain about the GameCube launch since there is plenty of titles that interest me that come out around launch. Pikmin(Dec), Rogue Leader, Luigi\'s Mansion, Star Fox Adventures, Smash Bros, Wave Race, PSOV2(Dec) and Eternal Darkness(Dec). What ever title out of the proceeding gets the best score from IGNCube then I\'m buying it without hesitation. 5 games, that\'s more than enough quality games for a launch, and three great ones will follow short after.

Next year the Cube will own. Too Human, MARIO, ZELDA, THE NEXT PERFECT DARK, Kameo, Tony Hawk 3, RE:0(actually, it might come out in 2001, but I have my doubts), WrestleMania Cube, Metroid(hopefully), and possibly the next Mario Kart... *drules*

i FORGOT about psov2 and eternal darkness those are two more games I want to check out .

you seem to be negative about just any console except GC
and I have to say that waverace beats the crap out of most xbox games

My mistake, Jumpy. I was looking at an old link and had my games mixed up.

That said, I still want an X-Box more than GC. There is just something about Nintendo I find highly unfavorable.

Neither systems, as I have been informed, have very appealing launches, NOW. I will probably still get one on launch day, and most likely X-Box, cause I know a friend that will get GC.

The fact that their name is Nintendo?
