lol.  So what is it?  Player friendly or dang hard? [/B]

Hmmmm, looks like I typed english?!  Anyway, MSR was very hard to pull off manuevers in ( earn kudos, which in turn gets more awards).  PGR is much more player friendly like I mentioned in the way that it\'s extremely easy to pull off a slide, two wheels, etc. especially with the hand brake...:nerd: AND there aren\'t as many 90 degree turns.

The game does get very difficult because the A.I. is a *****...and the kudos challenge shouldn\'t have those narrow 90 degree turns:)

Nah........I don\'t start a post with graphics everyday. Just for something for you guys to debate about.

If you are unopen to the opinions of others on this forum and you decide that your opinion is absolute and everyone else is full of crap, then what is there to debate about?  Isn\'t it pointless to instegate a debate topic on x-box graphics if your opinion is the end all be all of opinions and can not be changed by any incite from any other forum member?  What\'s the point of debating period if the point you are "debating" about is purely one of opinion?

Uhhhhhhhhhh.......who said anything about nintendo I\'m not even talking about them and you bring them up.  I played RL2 yes I was impressed with the graphics but the gameplay isn\'t nothing to get excited about.  Like I said you just brought nintendo up for no reason.  I was talking about project gotham how in the later stages the graphics improve even more.  Hmmmmmmm......me stop bashing gamecube....hahahahaha!!!!  The funny thing most the things I say about it is true.

Ethan Hunt you have to keep racing getting kudos points and unlocking stages until you get the F355, which is an awesome car as well.  This game has a ton of replay value to it.

And so there should be, it has been out in japan nearly 2 years, and out for 1 in US and Europe, i would hope that there are some fun games out(which there are),but i would take it as far as you was saying!
I mean have you seen the releases for Xbox in the next few months it is pretty good?
And alot of those games are new games, not sequals or ports!
On the 15 of March 2002, i was going to leave these forums for good.

Gaming age is a good source for review, but to say gt3 looks WAY better than project gotham is dumb. What I"m saying is even if they gave project gotham a C+ thats there opinion even though I do not agree with it thats all.

How\'s that?

If lots of other experienced reviewers, who get paid to say these things, agree that GT3 looks better, then how can that mass of completely experienced reviewers be wrong?  You say they are all full of it and are blind.  That suggests to me that you think your opinion is absolute, in other words, what\'s the point of debating if you won\'t budge on the issue in any way?  A debate should entail of several people keeping an open mind concerning the issue at hand, not a graphics whore worshipping their console of choice and disagreeing with everything to the contrary of their statements and basing it all solely off of the defense of opinion.  There\'s no debate in that so what\'s the point of each thread you post worshipping another game every day for the x-box?

You commented on but one game on the Gamecube that you have played and then bash the entire system?  I suppose if I came in here and called the x-box complete trash after playing Fuzion Frenzy once on a tiny TV without giving the system any benefit of the doubt, you\'d be pretty quick to say that I haven\'t played the best games or that a better TV would make the experience better, or that I need to play Halo.  WHatever the reason, I would meet stern oposition to that point if I called all of the X-Box games garbage and kiddy if I had played only Fuzion Frenzy.  What do you care anyways?  Do you think that gives you the right to bash the console in terms of its release list even though you have not done any research on the system at all?  Bah.  Graphics whore.

I played more than one gamecube.I tried out both xbox and gamecube before making my decision to buy one and I went with xbox.  I\'m not saying gaming age decision is dumb but to say GT3 looks way better PGR is alittle extreme there.  Gt3 may edge it out alittle to some people, then some people may say PGR may edge that out alittle.  Neither game blows each other away graphical I think there both very close in graphics.  Btw, I done my research heck I had an n64 at launch.  It was probably one of the worst systems I\'ve ever  owned compare to the ps1 and saturn.  That of course my opinion.

Let\'s see what Gaming Age had to say about this:
Quote
Speaking of the A.I., this is where my biggest gripe with the game lies. At the start of the game it isn\'t much of a problem, but as you get into medium and hard difficultly races expect some frustration. While the game does not just center around racing against opponents, I sometimes found that aspect to be the least fun of them all, further into the game. The CPU cars drive with a complete disregard to everyone else around them, yourself included. In a tight race, if you slow down a little too much on a corner, expect a pack of vehicles to slam into the inside/rear of your car. More times than not, you end up either spinning around or headfirst into a barrier. The control is overall a bit slippery at times, even when using a 4WD car with a high Handling rating. That is a bad combo usually, and drove me crazy on several opportunities.

So yes, it\'s better than GT3\'s.  But it\'s still nothing to brag about.

Nobody here said GT3 doesn\'t have jaggies.  You are the one who brought jaggies up in the first place, then Bobs_Hardware replied by saying "jaggies were hardly noticible in GT3...the only reason the corners were sometimes hard were because the colors werent sharp enough and the track sometimes blended into the barrier if the view was from in the car...low angle."  The jaggies were there, but they only stood out on a couple of the stages, and it really does not ruin the overall beauty of the game.

So you think it\'s funny that we PS2 owners don\'t go out and buy an Xbox just so we can play this one decent racing game?  He he, yeah, really funny.  I guess we really are "sad."

Ethan_Hunt, to get the F355 you have to race in the quick race mode and win all the races in gold.   Use the Min Coper because if you use a faster car the CPU will match you with faster car too.

I have to unlock the F360.  Its a better car than the F355 but its almost impossible to open.

Agreed. I\'ve never really like GT from the beginning. I mean the game is great looking but the AI is sad. Whats the point in racing round a track when you can predict where the cars are going.

People need to be less fanboy like and consider all their gaming options, not the options that some company has given them.

lol see its annoying when someone brings up something that doesnt have to do with the topic at all

so there ya go next time you praise xbox that means you dont have to add that other "kiddy" system that has nothing of your interest

just giving you a taste of your own so to speak

You need to stop labeling people as fanboys just because they don\'t own an Xbox.

I\'ll tell you the same thing I told Ethan_Hunt, and then some.  Let me get this straight.  Those of us who won\'t go out and buy an Xbox so we can play PGR are fanboys now?  The reason I bought a PS2 is for the games (or "options" as you like to call it) that were coming out on the PS2.  Why is it wrong to look forward to the games that are coming out on the system I actually own?  I could care less about the games on the Xbox because as of right now, there is nothing on the Xbox that makes it a must buy for me.  The PS2 is still fighting strong (even stronger than the Xbox for that matter), and (IMO) is getting overall better games than the Xbox is.

You can keep on throwing words around like "fanboy", but until the Xbox shows me something I really must have, I have no intention of buying one.

I do have a PS2 you know, i have two of them, just incase all you thought i had was an Xbox, i also have a GC.
Ok so where in my post did i say run out and buy an XBOX just for one game?( i am waiting!), i mean systems in general fool, and not just for one game either, that would be dumb.

What the hell are you going on about? that is the biggest load of crap i have heard, yeah the graphic maybe nice, but not unheard of, i mean race a TT let it pull away, and when you get closer to it look at the wheel, and you will see it plain as day change shape and quality, so i don\'t they are quiet the unheard of graphics you are going on about.

I have read many reviews that have said simply it is GT2 with better graphics the AI is the same, and it has less cars! But they still give it a big score, now to me something is not right there, big time.

WOW one website says the AI is nothing special, it must be true, this game is street racing my friend.
And no matter what you say the cars still try to get out of your way.
And it sounds like he didn\'t play the game much before he reviewed it, because the handling is great, as the other guys that have this game will tell, you can fly around the corners, so i don\'t know what he is going on about in the handling department.

What how can you say that, the race where it is like a circle i can\'t remember what it is called, the jaggies were horrid on that level, that is the first track i played on and it left me with a very bad taste in my mouth, yeah a few tracks look nice, but not like you are going on about.

Just incase you don\'t know i do have GT3 with the steeering wheel and if it wasn\'t for the steering wheel this game would have been put on the shelf alot quicker, this game is not fun in an way shape for form.
