Popular Science Compares the consoles: GameCube, PS2 and Xbox

Someone post this in a Xbox forum.  Its a Feb 2002 Issue.

I surprised, that same guy completely picked the xbox apart about 6 months ago when it was fashionable to hate it.

Xbox is getting a lot of positive press from everywhere.  It\'s good to see.

What Extras does GC have that would even score it any points?

Actually, I think the same way about the number of titles available for PS2 vs xbox.  It\'s all about current games, luckily both consoles have about the same quantity and quality over that last couple months.  I don\'t care what was released last year.

Think I better wait to hear Martha Stewart\'s opinion before I decide between xbox and GC :rolleyes:

I can\'t believe some of you guys are taking this article seriously.  Who\'s with me when I say anyone who gives the Xbox controller a 5, the PS2 controller a 4, and the NGC a 3 is not a reliable source.

When they are ranking SPEED of the system, are they talking about how Halo runs at 30FPS and most of the PS2 games released at the same time run at 60 FPS, or are they talking about processor speed which is a completely irrelevant thing to compare when comparing video game systems?  This guy is a moron.

i see no need for you to get a PS2 unless you want games quick, X-Box will have games (im assuming) because its a better machine with prettier graphics.

Pssst.. most non-gamer system reviews are pure BS. Weither it\'s N\'gai Coral or this lame fukk. They don\'t know what their talking about. Play it yourself and make up your own mind, or at least read reviews by people who do this stuff for a living. Listening to this guy is like asking your local greeseball-hilljack auto-mechanic who makes the better processor: AMD or Intel.

Soul Reaver has 1 load time, when you start the game. Thats it. I think its the same with Jak & Daxter - thats what Iron Fist is getting at
