More new Atari console rumors!!

anyways, the xbox was "supposed" to be the 2nd coming of the video game christ.  now, whats it doing?  shooting for the silver medal.  2nd place is 1st loser, and nintendo knows this as well

xbox developers had a whole year+ to furhter develop thier games.  look at oddworld, was supposed to be out on PS2.  they took OVER a year to port it to xbox, and guess what, it sux0rs. nice try infogrames, take yer foot out of yer mouth now for leaving sony.  dont get me started on halo.  it took a PC port, how long to polish 30 fps?  

speaking of ports.  am i the only one sick of seeing them?  we got halo, 2-3 original games that are B level at best, and the rest are ports.  gr0an.

and if my friend says to me while playing co-op halo, "havent we been thru here twice already?", i swear im driving to redmond and killing mr gates with my tired, cramped hands

Who said this,  was it an official announcement I missed?  The PS2 was riding hot on the heels of the PS and had a whole 19 months to itself (DC doesn\'t count).  I wouldn\'t expect PS2 to have any less in sales...

You are the ONLY person I\'ve seen complain about Halo.  Time restraints are a ***** huh?  Why didn\'t Gran Turismo have more cars, oh yes.  Time restraints...get over it already.  It was a launch game for crying out loud.  Expect better from 2nd generation software.  And I would also like to add that Xbox has a really impressive lineup for how young it is.  Do we need to get into the PS2 launches to settle this?

As for Munch, I like it. But niether one of us speak for everyone else...

Name all the ports please.  I can think of Madden, SSX tricky, Silent Hill 2...  I can name alot more exclusives than ports for the Xbox.

The system is only 10 weeks old!  Once again, need we bring up PS2 lackluster launch and the time it took to get a steady flow of good games out?

This one I can\'t help you with, as I have the same complaint.  But I can overlook it and still enjoy the game...

As for ports against originals/exclusives.  There\'s still no arguement...

sony sold well over 20 million PS2\'s last year.  do you see micro$oft achieving this?

so like we agreed then, we got one A+ killer app, and a bunch medioche titles, and lots of ports with or without slightly better graphics.

In what aspects?  Graphics? Games? Lineup?  I haven\'t seen one game on PS2 that looks anything close to Halo.  Same for Dead or Alive 3.  And the upcoming lineup looks even more impressive.  

And did PS2 TOTALLY blow DC out of the water at first.  I remember many arguements that PS2 was only slighty better than DC.  Look at it now and the PS2 has proved it is better (graphics wise)

First of all, there weren\'t 2 million conosoles available for launch.  There were only about 1.5 million all the way through Dec. and they sold through them...

Second, PS2 has a huge lineup and can of course meet more peoples needs.  The casual gamer doesn\'t buy a console they know very little about and with such a small library of games.  And the casual gamer makes up a big portion of sales later in a consoles life...

This could turn into a big "what if" debate...

And what hype,  no one said or announced Xbox sold out.  It was clearly stated that they sold 1.5 million by the end of Dec.
