Chruch on sundays is a evil plan by women to make men go to hell. Ever notice that football games and lots of other kinds of races are on sundays.

I read that in another forum..but it is sooo true :D

well..firstly..humorless boy...it was more of a qwip(sp) than anything...

secondly...church is on sunday(christian) b/c it was the day the *lord* rested on after *creating* the world.

as far as football and racing being on sundays..I dunno..even though there is alot of racing on saturdays.

MM, no offense, but your an idiot.

Sunday is the FIRST day of the week. Saturday is the 7th, that is why Seventhday Adventists go to church on Saturdays.

I am a Christian so I should know.

so why do christians worship on the 1st day instead of the 7th when he rested?

Because worshipping God has nothing to do with when he rested.

He simply rested on the 7th day (Sat) which is why SDA\'s go to church on SAT. Christians beleive it doesnt matter when he rested so its on Sunday.

See thats the thing, Christianity isnt restricted to Traditional Religion, like, Traditions etc ie - you must go to church on Saturday/Sunday.

Go whenever the hell you feel, God doesnt care, just as long as you go!

No, its not like that, but don\'t think of it as being restrictive.

God doesnt care what day you go to church, but he does care that you at least make the effort and GO. Actions speak louder then words. If you just pray then you probably really don\'t mean it.

Its not complex or anything.

I gotta agree with you RaCeR. Nowhere in the bible does it say go to church on Sundays, or as some would say "Sabbath". Christians focus less on "religion" and more on "relationship", with Jesus Christ that is. "Church" is not a building or some organization of sorts. It\'s better described as the "body of Christ", or as I put it "the fellowship of believers". Anyway, Sunday is when "church" happens for me, but my church gets out in time for most games and races so I can\'t say I have any complaints on this end.

Exactly. Catholisism, for instance, is very bound by tradition ie - they did that 1500 years ago, so we still have to do it today.

Christians basically follow the Bible. Its a relationship with God on a personal level, not a religion you are following because you are afraid of going to hell.

You don\'t have to go to church to be a Christian, or to love God etc, but its a symbol that you actually mean what your doing, like, you\'ve taken the time outta your schedual to actually get off your butt and go.
