im VERY serious

if yer a true chrisitan, then  its inconceivable that  dinosaurs were put on earth by god millions of years before humans.  then what?  god killed them all?

my ex-fiances parents were VERY, VERY christian and boldly stated that dinosaurs never existed and that they are a facade created by the heathens to support the evolution theory.  that the skeletons in musuems were all fake.

i know what yer thinking,

The bible is just a collection of stories of how several people perceived the world.  We are believing in God based on what several people believed a couple thousand years ago.

So what if L Ron Hubbard lived a couple thousand years ago and his book came out first.  Would we all be Scientologist Whackos?

I read that in another forum..but it is sooo true :D

To get back on topic. . .

People were going to church long before football games.  So it has nothing to do with the women, it\'s the dumb, evil men that decided to have football when they should be going to church.

In any event, you don\'t have to go to church to go to Heaven, but that\'s a thread long gone, it was a good thread, I miss it.

The "Big Bang Theory" is just that, a "theory". Yeah they say they have proof. That’s fine and dandy but the dinosaurs could have been killed off by the flood in Noah’s time. I\'m not trying to poke fun at your beliefs, I\'m just saying that "the proof is in the pudding" so to speak. Here’s a site that helps us “Christians” believe the Bible a bit more. Maybe you can use it to help understand why we believe in “creation” rather than “Big Bang”.

Again I must say, these are very old writings and fascinating history, but why should I believe in a God just because a couple dudes a couple thousand years ago did?

I have a friend who is so religious that when I debate with him about his faith, I will alwyas find a gap or inconsistancy in what he\'s telling me.  That\'s why I will not read the bible or even try and that is why I refuse to go to church.  I don\'t have to go to church to believe in something or prove that I believe in it.  God is everywhere, God knows what you are thinking and if that\'s the case, then it (being non-gender specific here) knows that I believe in it, regardless of what I do in my spare time or on my Sundays.

I\'m a good person despite some of you people thinking I\'m a hardcore a$$hole and I have faith.  I don\'t need a book to preach it to me, I don\'t need to waste my Sundays singing a hymn, and I don\'t need to carry a cross around my neck to believe in it.  It\'s all about faith and I have enough and if God is omnipresent, omnipotent, omnislash (;)) then it doesn\'t need me in any room, paying any fee, or singing any songs, or reading any books.

What\'s the point of all this?  Nothing.  I just find it hilarious that people need to prove that they believe in God by doing all of these things.  I don\'t remember God needing churches for worship, I don\'t remember God needing handouts to keep his places of worship afloat, and I sure as heck know that me being a good person to all is more important than me visiting a building.

Besides, who\'s going to Heaven first, the guy who is generally nice to everybody or the guy who would stomp you to death to get to Mariah Carey?  Enough said. ;)
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.

Good question, but what I was trying to get at by posting the Dead Sea Scroll site was that the deeper people look into ancient artifacts, the more they prove that the stories in the Bible are true. Hence the names on the scrolls are that of the names in the Bible...see the correlation. In short, if they as men existed, and the stories about them were true, then maybe the stories about creation are true as well.

heres a good forum for #racer# to hang out

http://pub49.ezboard.com/ftruechristiansunitefrm7

this is a quote from one of the "christians" there

Quote

No Mercy for the Disabled! -Nathaniel P. Robbins

My Church does not have handicapped ramps!
My Church does not have hanicapped parking spaces!
My Church does not provide hymnal books in braille!
My Church does not employ a person versed in "sign language"!

When asked why we do not make accomodations for such people, I sternly rebuke them with, "We do not cater to SINNERS, in the House of the Lord!

These "people" had their chance at redemption before the Lord a LONG time ago! It is not yours or my business to preach the Gospel to them, as they only seek to mock it!

These "people" belong in prisons and guarded hospitals where we are safe from them. I encourage all True Christians to disregard the "tolerance" they have been taught when it comes to these demented souls. "

The other day some buddies of mine were at the mall because they were having a sale at Abercrombi & Finch (and the new catalogues were coming in), when we saw this crippled guy hobbling around on crutches. So we followed him around for a while, just laughing at him, and pretty soon he went to the bathroom... I then snuck in and noticed he had left his crutches standing on the outside of the stall so I took them and ran off, dumping them in a janitor\'s door which was slightly ajar! Ha!

Then we waited on the opposite side of the food court and watched to see if he would come out. Sure enough, we see him come out shuffling slowly from the hall and then he tripped and fell over... we were absolutely DIEING laughing by this time, and the guy starts CRAWLING on the floor CRYING that someone had stolen his crutches. It was the funniest thing I ever saw!! Most people just walked around him and pretended not to notice (or else they probabaly would\'ve bursted out loud laughing like we were!), but finally a security guard came over and helped him and we thought it was best to take off at that time. But oh man, that was absolutely hilarious! LOL!

True Christians Rule!

if i had a gun, i would shoot they both, and make them cripples
