all those games (except outlaw golf, cause i havent played it yet) you listed are mediochre or more of the same

so what if the ports have a few less slowdowns (blood omen2, tony hawk3), the degredation in xbox control would promote the PS2 version for me

hunter was boring as poop, wsb2003 made me feel like i was watching more than i was playing, gunvalkrye was like a balloon in the hot sun (yeah, not a good thing), and everyone knows damn well how i feel about blurry rallisport

so there you see, it makes no difference to me really what console the games are on.  i want content, not graphics

most of the xbox games are like a picasso
pretty to look at, for a little while, than you move quickly onto the next one

I know you feel like responding again Altered, but don\'t--I know, I\'ve been there.

IMO, you\'re wrong mm.

And that is as far as you\'ll ever get.

and my OPINIONS are wrong how?

you guys think cause its got a little green x on it thats its the be all, end all of gaming

morrowind on the xbox is a joke of a game.  it doesnt matter if its the dev\'s fault or the xbox\'s limitations.

the rest of my point about the games are valid

especially my analogy to picasso

your opinions are valid?!?!? You obviously haven\'t even played Morrowind yet. You are just relying on fanboy comments made in the topic further down on the page. The game runs steady at 30fps except for large crowds and heavy atmosphere, much like GASP Shenmue!!! The scope actually matches Shenmue, and beats it it size easily. This game is literally the biggest I have ever seen and I can understand why it took years to develop.

Go PLAY the ****ing games and quit *****ing about things you don\'t know about. All those games (with the exception of GV, which is much loved or much hated) have been getting much better than average scores.

You seem to enjoy Frontline with it\'s standard amount of slowdown, blur, average gameplay, etc.

I can admit I love to play Frontline, but I also love games on XBox that are much improved over the rinse and repeat formula that EA has given it\'s games, it makes me sick to buy Fronline because it seems I am encouraging them to keep on making the same games.

thanks for yet again supporting my theory that xbox zealots are so hostile

anyways, do you forget where i work?
i played morrowind last week

its a piece of ****e, the only difference between the PC version is that the pc version runs smoother

the battle system is totally wack

how dare you knock shenmue!  shenmue has action, drama, and *gasp* atmosphere!

morrowind has lots of mofo\'s standing around pissed off to be talking to you, and too much to say

you\'ve seen me hostile mm, and that was NOT it. That was me telling you to stop bitching and actually play games.

You have never said where you work, btw.

I compared it only to Shenmue in size, Shenmue and Shenmue II are obviously better games, but Morrowind is truly excellent.

PC morrowind is a very pretty game that has some SEVERE gameplay issues

thats about all i can give it

Well, this looks like someone\'s getting a head start on the big "war".

You\'re wrong in my opinion, that\'s all.

They have less slowdowns and better graphics/sound.  And I don\'t care what you say, slowdown affects the game, and my enjoyment of it--esp TH3, the slowdown on the PS2 is crazy sometimes.

I think Hunter is a very fine game.  WSB is also a very fine game--both are getting great reviews too.

I was let down by Gunvalkrye, it was ok, but it could have been better.  I wouldn\'t put it anywhere on my list.

Ralisport is a very good game, and lots of fun with friends.

Morrowind gave me a headache to play--I\'ve never experienced that before, but I think it probably was the small but frequent  interruptions to cache parts of the level.  I liked the gameplay for the couple hours I played, but I can\'t say I enjoyed it for what it did to me.  The combat is crap.  mm is right about the NPCs who are grumpy, but then talk for ages.  I hated that they built this bad ass game, let you do all this detailed stuff to your character, then pitted you off against crabs, rats and bugs.  Ugh.  I can see why people would like this game.  It\'s quite an accomplishment (disregarding graphically), but I\'ll never play it again, PC or xbox.

___________

And yet your biggest complaint about Ralisport is that it is blurry?  That Halo runs at 30fps? hm.  Yet you will live with slowdown and every other graphical shortcoming on PS2?

I know, I know--you expect more--but at the end of the day does it matter which box is spinning that disc?  If you are getting a better complete game who cares if it\'s the xbox?

About the controller: pick up the PS2 pad converter and you can stop that problem too.  I would think someone so offended by the xbox pad, would have done that by now.

And again, in the last couple months there has not been a great come for PS2.

there\'s no point to bring up my other quirks with halo and rallisport, they\'re well known to everyone

content before graphics?  halo and rallisport are two prime examples of the opposite.  hunter and gunvalkrye are two more

like i said, they\'re pretty to look at for a bit, but they\'re duds in the long run (for me).  i\'ll never, ever play halo again.  after beating it on legendary, i have zero interest in going back thru and seeing the same tired levels.

look at something like circus maximus, *shudder*

you say nothin good has come out on PS2 (you forgot moh:f), well i can say the same thing for xbox, and the GC is even worse

of course i overlook a few more graphical shortcomings on PS2 games, they run on two year old hardware and with a machine hard as nails to dev for.

early summer is always a slow time for the industry

What about the multiplayer.  I play 2 vs. 2 Halo like 2 or 3 days a week with some guys I know.  Its so much fun.  2 vs. 2 to 50 on Hang Em High.

nah, my friends dont have xbox\'s so if when play multi (mostly coop), we were restricted to 2 player split screen

split screen sucks for just about any game

i\'ll wait for the PC version and do it right

Despite what you say, LAN parties with 8 guys is the most fun I\'ve ever had with a console (and that\'s no exageration).
