square_marker: Don\'t be too impressed.  I got interested in the Evolution vs Creation debate something like 8 years ago, in middle school.  I didn\'t know much about the debate then, but I got into a debate with a religious friend of mine in IRC, and that sent me to http://www.talkorigins.org and I just ate the material up.
Things spiraled from there.  Hanging out in alt.atheism for a couple years can teach you the usual Creationist arguments and their counters real fast.

He\'ll just avoid the question with dumb questions of his own, I\'m sure.

I was thinking of something more along the lines of:

"ShadowHawk must be a Jew.  Let\'s ignore him"

Anyway, ShadowHawk, the way I see it is that the majority of people in the world are religious in one way or another.  I don\'t believe in God, but I\'m not arrogant to say that 4 billion people or something are wrong, and ignorant because of it.  The examples you cited are all well and good, but they are things that the majority of people don\'t believe in, with a few radical exceptions.  The idea of a God is a widely accepted one though.  I don\'t think it is for any of us to say that so many people are ignorant because of such beliefs.

If you don\'t think there are other good people here to make fun of, you haven\'t been here long enough.  Or met Racer for that matter.

ShadowHawk I love you.  All of the information you have posted Has been great.

The questions in the link you provided about the "15 answers to creationism nonsense" is practically all of the answers to the nonsense Clowd has been posting.

What a great read.

Shockwaves: Well, I\'m something of an anti-religion atheist, so that tends to influence my writings.  :)
I don\'t hold grudges against anyone for believing in whatever they want, but it does affect my opinion of them.
And, after all, they think I\'m ignorant for not beliving in God.  I\'m just returning the favor.  ;)

Personally, I\'m an atheist, but a very open minded one.  I really don\'t care what people believe in, and it doesn\'t have any effect on my opinons on them.  People believe what they want to believe, and what they are taught to believe.  If I had grown up under different conditions, I very well might be a Christian.  Who knows?  I think a lot of it has to do with the type of situation you are born into.  I\'m not going to hold myself above someone because of the situation of my birth.

come on, we can do it, we\'ll make this the first 30 page thread.  :D
