LiC: Maybe they\'re not making new huge blockbuster franchises.. but they are making new franchises.

In fact, Nintendo is saying that after Zelda.. around 50% of their new games will be new franchises.

Things like Kameo, Giftpia, Doshin, and Stage Debut. Honestly, very little is announced right now..

I think you meant Ginko, not me. As I didn\'t bring up Nintendo\'s new franchises. ;)

Personally, I truly doubt games like Doshin, Animal Leader, Stage Debut and other games are goin\' to be blockbuster titles.

I wish the good old days of Sega vs Nintendo would return....Instead it\'s a bleak future of masive companies buying smaller game studios to try and win the console "war"....and to those who say GC has no good games, go import a copy of SMS...now.

Boy, you sure do smoke a lot of crack if you think that Sony being the industry leader is the best thing to happen to games.

Then again, this is from someone who is commited to saying that Xbox is not flopping in Japan.

I still don\'t understand the joy that comes to you people if the XBox fails. One less system, less choice, and less competition.

Please don\'t feed me the MS mantra.

Yes mm, they will quit and gaming will end as we know it.

Let\'s try it this way. Explain to me how not having competition is good for gaming. Especially when it comes to hardware.

m$ is taking a peice of the pie that nintendo and sony would easily split up

Still, without the XBox, I wonder if the price-cuts would have come into effect yet?  Sony did pre-empt MS and Nintendo and took the first step.. but would they have done it without MS?.. Meh, probably :D

Oh, and even without the XBox, there would still be competition. I don\'t like having to buy 3 consoles, with 3 extra controllers each (And I never bought the Dreamcast either :()

Don\'t blame the little white box for failing, blame Sega. If the XBox dies, like so many before it, there will be no one to blame but MS.

I like having choices and I like to see these companies fighting to be number one.  In the end we win with new technologies and better games.

Lots of people laughed when Sony decided to jump in on the game and look how well it did for us gamers.

I am going to BBQ now to eat and drink some adult beverages. I suggest you all do the same.:)
